Piano, testing Speedlite 430EXII, working off the camera

Picture of my piano to test a flash Speedlite 430EX II working off the camera.
The flash was placed as slave on the right side of the picture (you can see the bright on the black keys and the high bright on the right down corner of the picture).
As transmiter I've used a Speedlite 580EX II working as master with the head point out of the scene and the power set to 1/128 to minimize its effect.

There is a little post process in Photoshop to enhance the shadows and the gold light over the black keys produced by a lamp on the top on the piano.

Copy of the picture in another layer
Inverse the new layer
Desaturate the new layer
Overlay the layer
Gaussian Blur to 160 (this factor depends of the size of the picture. This is a file of 12.8 Mp)

Ella has a piano exam later this week. We're really working on the arpeggios at the moment...and generally remembering to use dynamics.
HBM!
