Gold Leaf Picture Frame

This frame is a new plein air picture frame hand gilded with gold metal leaf. We refer to this frame as a plein air frame because it is a seamless corner wide gold frame well suited for American impressionist paintings which are often referred to as plein air paintings; however, it is equally appropriate for other artwork, a portrait or even a mirror. This frame is made to accommodate artwork which is 9" x 12". (Please note: the pictures used here are photographs of an identical 8" x 10" exemplar.) This frame is approximately 3" wide on its face. As with the majority of our photographs of wide gold frames, the photographs of this frame were taken in natural light in an effort to accurately represent the color value of the gold.
