A factory built home constructed of prefabricated three-dimensional modules, entire rooms and larger, which are transported on flat-bed trucks to a home site and assembled, usually using a crane for placement.


Modular buildings and modular homes are sectional prefabricated buildings or houses that consist of multiple modules or sections which are manufactured in a remote facility and then delivered to their intended site of use.


Factory-built housing with onsite assembly and some onsite construction that is built to meet state and local codes and does not have a chassis. This is usually considered real property.
