Ultra Low Power Bioelectronics: Fundamentals, Biomedical Applications, and Bio-Inspired Systems

This book provides, for the first time, a broad and deep treatment of the fields of both ultra low power electronics and bioelectronics. It discusses fundamental principles and circuits for ultra low power electronic design and their applications in biomedical systems. It also discusses how ultra-energy-efficient cellular and neural systems in biology can inspire revolutionary low power architectures in mixed-signal and RF electronics. The book presents a unique, unifying view of ultra low power analog and digital electronics and emphasizes the use of the ultra-energy-efficient subthreshold regime of transistor operation in both. The United Arab Emirates has an exemplary and consistent record in providing financial support for development and humanitarian projects throughout the region. The current project was initiated by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, and involved the construction of health facilities in the earthquake affected areas of Azad Kashmir. The project aims to improve the conditions of the affected inhabitants by providing much-needed facilities. The government of the United Arab Emirates has funded various turn-key projects, such ast;Construction of Health Facilities in Azad Kashmir" involving the complete architectural and structural design, as well as the engineering detailing and construction of infrastructure and buildings within the boundary wall. The project also included the installation and commissioning of medical equipment for the two hospitals, each with a 250-bed capacity at Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot in Azad Kashmir.

The client is the Department of Municipalities and Agriculture of Abu Dhabi, and it will hand over the project to the government of Pakistan after completion. The government of Pakistan will manage the operational phase of the projects.
