Fabulous. I love the shade of green, and that it bleeds over everything—the bookshelves, the mantle, the trim—and that sofa! It’s called Huggy Bear. I mean. Right?

The space is a Beaux Arts Chicago co-op built in 1925 and newly redecorated by designer Michael Richman. He custom designed the sofa (too bad for us). The artwork is Hand On Her Back by Louise Lawler from Metro Pictures Gallery (www.metropictures.com). Wall paint is by Benjamin Moore—I’ve e-mailed the editors to find out the color.

Update: The color is Pine Brook, from the Classic Colors collection.

Oops.

Oops.

After I had this whole thing finished, I realized I left a paper piecing in there. Oops. I thought about leaving it, but wasn't sure how it would be after I washed it. I didn't want to risk it. I took a seam ripper to two sides of the hexagon and pulled it out. I hand stitched it shut, but it didn't look very good, so I zigzag stitched over the top. it's not really noticeable unless I point it out and even if you do notice, it doesn't look so bad.
