RADIANT HEAT UNDER CARPET - VAN DYCK CARPETS SOUTH AFRICA - SAXONY CARPET.
Radiant Heat Under Carpet
(radiant heating) A method of heating, usually consisting of a forced hot water system with pipes placed in the floor, wall, or ceiling, or with electrically heated panels.
(radiant heating) heating a building by radiation from panels containing hot water or electrical heaters
Thermal radiation is electromagnetic radiation emitted from a material which is due to the heat of the material, the characteristics of which depend on its temperature. An example of thermal radiation is the infrared radiation emitted by a common household radiator or electric heater.
A thick or soft expanse or layer of something
A large rug, typically an oriental one
A floor or stair covering made from thick woven fabric, typically shaped to fit a particular room
form a carpet-like cover (over)
rug: floor covering consisting of a piece of thick heavy fabric (usually with nap or pile)
cover completely, as if with a carpet; "flowers carpeted the meadows"
Radiant Heating Installation
Four runs completed between the joists. I've only lightly stapled the heat transfer plates in place. After the whole system is in I'll go back and finish stapling the aluminum sheets so they have good contact with the underfloor, add the reflective insulation and fiber glass insulation.
Radiant Heating manifold installation
I framed a small wall section that I could attach the heating manifolds to. Here the wall is built but the manifolds haven't been attached. You can also see the 14 ends of PEX tubing that need to be attached.
