How did they know?

How did they know?

Today's fortune from my Panda Express lunch. How timely, given the economy.

I ran a picture from my iPhone through the app called Polarizer. Decent result, I think. Normally I don't like it when people process their pictures into faux Polaroids, partially because I actually own a couple old SX-70-based Polaroid cameras and don't like wannabe Polaroid shots. :P Also, Fauxlaroids also tend to be sloppily done. Anyway, I played around with the Polarizer app and in some cases it can produce authentic-looking Fauxlaroids. In very small quantities, apps like Polarizer and Camerabag can be really fun and spur one's creativity when shooting with the iPhone. Just remember to use moderation. :)

UPDATE: I just saw the final product uploaded to Flickr and the border is cream-colored instead of white...weird. Could probably fix it in Photoshop Elements if I really cared, but I don't think it's necessary for this cameraphone pic; pretend I scanned it in and didn't fix the white balance. **smirk**

Polaroid 110A converted to packfilm

Polaroid 110A converted to packfilm

Yes! I finished my first conversion. I read a lot about the conversion before starting it and I have to confirm that it is just very simple. Only the "raw" parts are heavy but if you just do it, it will work all out.

I got lucky because I got professional help with all the cutting and smoothening. Thanks to Peter and all the other guys!

I shot a pack of 125i today and it works very well. It has some very little light leaks that apeared now and then but I think I can fix that.
Besides I'm blown away by the lens quality. The detph of field and how it can be affected is awesome. I'm looking forward to shoot some 669 with it.

Thanks to everyone sharing their knowledge and experience on these conversions around the web!
