Our beautiful Roman-style Bamboo shades can only be described as the sensible choice. Noted for their rich textures and beautiful colors they also help protect your home against penetrating heat and Winter air. Note: For inside mount, please order a shade that is smaller than the width of your window so that it fits inside your window or does not rub against the sides. It should be at least 1/4 of an inch smaller to ensure a proper fit. Not for outdoor use, it will mold in high humidity environment. Each shade comes with a Retro-fit kit recommended by the CPSC. This kit enables the removal of operating cords. For more information on Roman Shade safety go to windowcoverings.org.

vintage window shades
Offered here is a single page advertisement from a vintage magazine. These ads were carefully removed from the magazine, but may have a 'rough' edge on the binding side. You will want to trim the ad before framing. A very short abbreviation of the magazine title and date may be written on the ad in pencil - usually in the margin, but sometimes in the ad itself. These annotations can be carefully erased. A high resolution scan of the ad is posted - please review it closely and make yourself aware of any deficiencies (marks, creases, edges, yellowing, etc). Please keep the age of these ads (some are 50-90 years old) in mind, as you decide to purchase them. An ad printed in 1925 is going to show its age. Ads are shipped with a backing sheet, inside of a polypropylene archival sleeve, and then packed in a stiff cardboard mailer.
