Edsel Ranger (1958) the Edsel was a Edsel was a marque produced by the former Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln division of the Ford Motor Company between 1958-60.
The Ranger were built on the shorter platform shared with the Ford Fairlane as was the Edsel Pacer and both shared the Fairlanes body shell. the Ranger being the base trim option
The 1958 Ranger came witharmrests, a cigarette lighter, rear view mirror,two coat hangers and rubber mats, Two tone paint was optional, extras included a basic heater ($ 92) a radio ($ 95) and air-conditioning ($ 417). The Ranger had awheelbase of 118 inches a 361 Ci engine of 303 hp and a three speed manual transmission ( three speed Automatic optional) or the Teletouch Auto option which placed the drive selection buttons in the steering wheel hub as a $ 231 option. Sales for 1958 Ranger were 21701 units - 6005 2 door hardtops, 4615 2 door Sedan, 3667 4 door hardtop, and 7414 4 door Sedans. Prices ranged from $ 2484 to $ 2643 before options.
