Vacation Plans!
Okay...Duane and I aren't going to Europe this year for vacation (we'll be housesitting for Eva in Brooklyn so NYC for a week is gonna be fun! Yeah, I'm talking to you, Brooklyn peeps!) BUT I've got a "verbal" (which means I start researching!) from Duane that Autumn 2012 is London and Bruges, Belgium! The summer olympics will be in London in July and August so I'm hoping for some "after the crowds leave" airline deals! STAYING in Europe is cheap...FLYING there is expensive.
Soo....any of my English Flickr friends...I need your help! I need good pubs, funky places to visit and fun stuff to do! (here's a hint, I love skulls and creepy history...and yes...I know about the skull crypt in Kent, thanks to wilfy2007's photo stream) I've got cemeteries covered. I know ONE of my English friends has been to Bruges (Sally) so I need your advice there!
Okay, enjoy this photo of Scotland by air. I won't by flying for a while...:::snif:::snif:::
Scotland is bumpy!!! And if you look closely, you can see Hagrid's cottage. Made you look!
Pork on an airplane
Charsiew rice - lunch in the plane. My uncle was raving about how he was going to fly SQ from UK to Singapore because it was cheaper than taking MAS direct to Malaysia, and you could get pork. Singapore Airlines is one of the few airlines which serves pork for inflight meals. Most of the time you get chicken or fish.
