Anyways I was listening to the Damon Bruce show on The Sports Leader and he said that on draft day, McHale turned down a deal that would have sent Garnett to the Warriors for Ellis, Biedrens, Harrington and our original first round draft pick.

Instead McHale chose to trade Garnett to the Celtics for Gerald Green and Al Jefferson and a box of donuts. The trade that the Warriors offered was way better than what the Celtics gave them...so why did he turn us down?
If the trade had gone through the Warriors, our starting lineup (and remember we wouldn't have traded Richardson):
Baron, JRich, Jackson, Garnett, maybe O'Bryant
...with Barnes, Pietrus and Azubuike coming off the bench.
Oh well.
