INFRARED CAMERA ENERGY AUDIT : GAME CAMERA PICTURES OF DEER.
Infrared Camera Energy Audit
- Electronics, lens, and detector combinations that give the user an image, which can be viewed or recorded, of energy in the infrared spectrum.
- A thermographic camera, sometimes called a FLIR (Forward Looking InfraRed) or infrared camera less specifically, is a device that forms an image using infrared radiation, similar to a common camera that forms an image using visible light.
- An instrument that measures heat. Infrared cameras are often used to detect weather patterns or volcanic erruptions.
- (Energy Audits) can be either scientific or unscientific; both offer important and valuable information.
- A survey that shows how much energy used in a home, which helps find ways to use less energy.
- An assessment of the energy needs and efficiency of a building or buildings
- An energy audit is an inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows for energy conservation in a building, process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output(s).
Student Using Energy Measurement Devices
4th and 6th Grade students at Miltona Science Magnet School went on an energy audit of their school and investigated brightness of rooms with light meters and thermal conductivity of objects in and around the building. This student is armed with an infrared camera which takes and displays pictures of thermal conductivity.
