utorak , 22.02.2022.The year 2022 is shaping up to be a big one for Nike Dunks as multiple new colorways are set to release this year. On Monday, we got a look at the official images for a colorway that pays homage to one of the most iconic cartoon characters of all time.
Bart Simpson.
This Nike SB Dunk Low is dressed in a yellow, orange, and blue colorway that matches Bart’s outfit and iconic skin-tone from the show The Simpsons. While it doesn’t have any branding officially for the show, it represents Bart in a great way.

This Nike Blazer Mid Comes With Creepy Voodoo Doll
Nike Sportswear will be releasing a new Blazer Mid “Voodoo” edition that even comes with a mini voodoo doll.
This offering of the Nike Blazer Mid comes constructed in a mix of canvas and suede materials with exposed stitching throughout. Additional details includes two buttons on the ankle, “LOVE” embroidered on the heels, and a creepy, detachable voodoo doll placed onto the back of the ankle. A Gum rubber sole unit completes the design.

Where To Buy The Nike Dunk High 1985 SP “Chile Red”
srijeda , 16.02.2022.Like the Air Jordan 1 before it, the Dunk High, too, is traveling back to 1985, revisiting the design that originally made it an icon in the first place. But with its first general release, classic is not the silhouette’s intention. Rather, we’re to see not just one but three “Acid Wash” inspired takes.
The “Chile Red” colorway is by far the boldest of the trio. Throughout, the tone takes over the tread, lace unit, lining, and the overlays that feature the pack’s signature design. Mixed with clouds of black, the latter is treated far heavier towards the midsole, which opts for a yellowed finish to give off a further aged and vintage feel. Elsewhere, “Cave Stone” grey rounds out the construction by way of the base, helping complete the package alongside new logo hits and packaging.

Nike Dunk High “Championship Navy” Releasing In Full Family Sizes On October 8th
Best recognized for its crips, two-toned approaches, the Nike Dunk has gained much popularity in recent years as an everyday favorite all year round. The 1985 basketball-rooted design will soon be kicking off September in a fall-ready “Midnight Navy” and white pairing as a high-top style.
This Nike Dunk High is dressed in a familiar white smooth leather. A near-black “Midnight Navy” shade coats the leather overlays, profile Swooshes, and lacestays. The dark blue is also applied to the laces, branding on the tongue, and sockliner to further offset the stark white. This sleek yet simple arrangement is complete with a white midsole that sees a coat of “Midnight Navy” underfoot. And with a release date in September, the pair will be available in full-family sizing to have everyone ready for the new school year.

Carpet Company Meets the Nike SB Dunk, Two Brothers Rework a Classic
četvrtak , 10.02.2022.Dr. Hossin Abdeldayem had the answer right away, although he was maybe the least qualified one to provide it, sitting there with his wife and two sons over tea. He is a scientist, not a skateboarder, and aloof to the world of sports footwear.
“Once I started college,” he says, “I stopped doing any sports—except walking.”
Still, he knew what the sneakers needed. So in one shot, with two pencils, he made it, writing out “Nike” in his native tongue and bending the Arabic script to find a balance in the calligraphy, the nun and alif arching high, slanting across like a backward Swoosh. The other letters huddle underneath, giving structure and symmetry. Dr. Abdeldayem’s tea time logo, like the sneakers it’s now affixed to, is an interpretation of American sportswear informed by an Egyptian perspective. But nobody anticipated the design coming from him.
“My dad kind of just always wants to add input. Just being an Arab guy, whatever he says is right,” says Osama, the older of his two sons. “And we usually expect whatever he says to be something not good—same with my mom. But, you know, they’re parents, so you listen to them.”
Osama and his brother, Ayman, are the founders of Carpet Company, a small Baltimore-based skateboard brand known for its screenprinted decks and graphic apparel pieces. Its design language includes bits of Arabic, anonymous images, cartoon-y characters, and flips of classic skate iconography. The mixture renders its catalog bold but not self-serious. It has a mirthful honesty, where a misprint can be embraced and a smudge of ink is a warm human touch. The work is part time for both—Carpet’s profile has risen steadily since its launch in 2015, but the brothers have day jobs.
“They’re so involved within it, I’m afraid they will leave the jobs they have,” their father says. “Both of them have very good jobs.” Ayman, like their father, works at NASA, Osama at a utility company in Baltimore.
Despite the limited time they can devote to it, Carpet has become a darling in the world of skateboarding. Fader ran a gushing profile in 2018. Skate outlet Jenkem documented their process in 2019. Supreme started stocking their clothes. So did spots as far as Australia and Japan. Somewhere in there, a longtime Nike employee named Rob Sissi reached out. At their first meeting, reps from the Swoosh’s skateboarding division, Nike SB, surprised Ayman and Osama with how much they knew about Carpet’s operation. Those talks resulted a year and a half later in a collaborative shoe bearing scans of screens they print with, hidden messages, and their father’s handwriting.
The Carpet Company shoe uses the Nike SB Dunk High for its base, a skateboarding-specific style of the enduring Dunk basketball sneaker from 1985. It adds a brew of graphics in light blue across the upper that wears away to show yellow leather with a fez-wearing character underneath. The heels have peel-off sections, the left revealing a note on the project’s origin (“Brought to you by the habibis at Carpet Company”) and the right revealing the calligraphy of Dr. Abdeldayem. The skate brand’s name is embroidered in Arabic on the inside of the collar.

Gundam's Nike Dunk High Collab Gets a New Release Date
Part of Nike SB’s current resurgence has been unexpected, but well-executed collaborations with outside entities such as the Grateful Dead and Ben & Jerry’s. Each of those projects resulted in pairs that were unorthodox and initially met with a bit of skepticism, but ultimately went on to become some of the most coveted releases in recent memory. Now, Nike SB is once again testing the limits of where it can go with the Dunk High design, this time linking up with the creators of the Japanese anime franchise Gundam for a new collection.
In the past, any mention of Gundam x Nike brought us to the Air Max 98, which originally was released in a colorway unofficially dubbed “Gundam” due to its likeness to the RX-78-2 robot from the series. This time, it’s an official union, with a “Project Unicorn” Collection featuring two SB Dunk High colorways on the way. The inspiration behind the collection is Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, a novel within the Gundam universe. Each shoe inherits its look from the RX-0 and Banshee Norn Destroy Mode suits. The colorways are straightforward pulls, but the toebox and detachable Swooshes mimic elements of the respective suits. Official Project Unicorn stamps adorn the heels and each pair appears to come with a sheet of decals.
A release date for the Gundam x Nike SB Dunk Highs hasn’t been announced, but we’ll keep you posted with new developments in the coming months.
UPDATE (09/18): Originally scheduled to drop later this month, Nike confirms via SNKRS that the white-based “RX-0” colorway of the collab will now arrive on Oct. 12.
UPDATE (10/23): Initially slated to release this month, Nike has confirmed on SNKRS that the “RX-0” colorway of the Gundam x SB Dunk High is now dropping via the app on Nov. 10 for $110.
