Empty/Whitaker Park

We saw about five other clusters of people packing their houses and leaving Saturday, Sept. 30. By appearances, the upper part of Whitaker Park from the intersection of Wayne and Avery drives up to Pine Drive are going to be gone.

Just one or two cars left along with broken furniture outside of front doors and stacked next to Dumpsters. Empty slots for electrical meters.

I was told the redevelopment is occurring in two phases, with the part of Whitaker Park my apartment was part of not slated to come down until May. However, my across the street neighbor, also moving out said she was told she had "months left," then got her notice (an eviction?) at the beginning of Sept.

Piney Pine

There were bunch of these pines on the ground so decided to take a picture of it along with some information.
It was hard balancing this pine since the background was a slant 'monument'.
