The Standard Furniture

WWZ Standard Infantry Rifle (SIR)
The Standard Infantry Rifle from Max Brooks' fiction "World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War." The rifle is supposedly a variation of the AK or a stripped down XM8, and fires 5.56 NATO "Cherry" PIE (Pyrotechnically Initiated Explosive) ammunition.
The character Todd Wanio describes the weapon as a WWII-looking weapon that fires only on semi, and still wouldn't jam even if you left it in salt-water for several days. The only conversions were three different lengths of barrels. The 5.56 mm round has a fragmentation effect that shatters inside a zombie's skull, destroying the brain.
I went with the AK approach as to the XM8, but I might still do that in the future...

I loved to look at the displays and think about how I would do up my own house.
