one of the things I find myself missing on long trips away is home cooked food. although i love eating out and trying new places, palate fatigue starts to set in after a week of restaurant food, no matter how delicious.
for our first proper meal at home we made chipotle and chili braised beef short ribs with some roasted cauliflower, all washed down with our local McSorley's brew (I guess technically the brewery is not local, but the original McSorley's bar is only about 10 blocks from my house).

Smoked Rib Roast
"The Saturday Special" featuring Smoked Rib Roast & Tiger Sauce
Pit Boss Tom smoked this beauty as a special on Saturday. He used a Dalmatian Rub (salt, pepper & sugar) on the Rib Roast and smoked it to a perfect mid-rare.
