It's Embarq Now - Not Sprint
Just got out of the shower this morning and saw the telephone repair truck parked out on my front lawn with his lights flashing. So I quickly (as quick as an old man can be) jumped into my pants and about to go investigate when repairman rang doorbell.
I asked him what Embarq was all about as I still see just Sprint ads on tv. He said Embarq bought up all the places where Sprint provides local service, but apparently still some connection. It has been changed to Embarq in all the places in the southeast at least. My bill comes out of Charlotte. Apparently Sprint still has the wireless service, internet, etc in this area.

This building was recently painted by two Art Academy alumni I know and was home to the Crazy Ladies feminist bookstore from around 1997 until sometime recently. Previously the building hosted Allans Bicycle Sales and Service (pre-1973- 1978), Cincinnati TV Repair (pre-1973- 1987), and a dentists' office until the late 90's. The storefront is currently vacant.
