Kasselaner Fruit Tart (Fruchttoertchen)

Kasselaner Fruit Tart (Fruchttoertchen)

We stopped at a bakery one morning in Kassel and I had this fruit tart, which was the most delicious one of these I've ever eaten. There were lots of exotic fruits on it such as pineapple, passion fruit, Kiwi fruit, "Star fruit" and Johannisbeeren. I could have eaten four more if we didn't have to go and work right away. This bakery also had awesome cake such as the Donauwelle and Black Forest cake which were just amazing.

Bonus: In case you have the chance to visit Kassel, I've marked the exact location of the bakery on the map. You should definitely stop there for some coffee and cake!

Maple fruit and new leaves

Maple fruit and new leaves

Taken in our yard. Our maples produce flowers, then fruit. Leaves come after the flowers. I guess that says that reproduction is more important than photosynthesis, although it wouldn't be possible without what was done by last year's leaves. I love the color of these maple fruits. They were about an inch/3 cm long. By now, they have all fallen off the tree, blown around by the wind, and, most likely, none of them will grow up to make a new tree.

Isn't God a great artist?
