Rosemary Orange Tea Chicken
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 2 oranges
• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
• 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon of dried, plus fresh sprigs for garnish
• 1/4 teaspoon finely ground green tea
• 1-1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Mix together the olive oil, juice of 1-1/2 oranges (set aside the other half0, pepper, salt, chopped rosemary, and dry tea. Pour this marinade into a large resealable plastic bag. Add the chicken, seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Heat a grill pan or barbecue until hot. Remove chicken from the bag, discarding the remaining marinade, and grill until browned on both sides. Thinly slice the remaining orange half and serve with the chicken. Decorate with a sprig of rosemary.

I have to do a little bragging today. I ballooned after getting married in Aug of 07. Up to 230-235lbs (I'm 6ft even, so my "ideal weight" is around 185, but I've always been a bit over my ideal weight). These are totally my "fat pants" that I got last year when my old pants weren't fitting right.

As you can see, I've lost a bit of weight recently. I can definitely tell in my belly (look at my belly; isn't it cute that it's smaller!.) Today I weighed, drum roll, 210lb! On my way down! Yay! I do think the weight is pretty well proportioned; I am lucky that way (I think that's why a lot of people tell me I don't look fat, though I for sure am).

BTW, I've just been doing portion size control, one red meat a week (the rest seafood, chicken or vegetarian), one dessert a week (if that), no snacking (unless it's on veggies), and no soda at all (just water, coffee, tea, beer and wine).

Time for these pants to go away! Yay!

I have decided to start recording my diet as I am trying to lose weight and taking a photo of what I am eating and putting it on here may make me a little more accountable for what I am eating!

This morning I had porridge with honey & skim milk and a skim milk coffee.
