The innocent twosome, Bastichs' !!!!!

The innocent twosome, Bastichs' !!!!!

yesterday was a horrible day, we were still waiting on Bucky's biopsy, i was sick with worry so had come home again from home (that and i've been missing my meds....as Marv sez, when you've got a condition, it's bad to forget your medicine..).

Earlier in the day, Paris decided to pull a swifty and disappear before we left for the day. We haven't installed a cat door yet as we're waiting on getting a more secure one first (and factoring in a rhodesian ridgeback). So we left Buck's outside since they've been very good so far and just tool around under the house etc.

On coming home, i couldn't find them anywhere. and so started 16 hours of dizzying upset and worry...

i spent hours going around the street, the golf course, tapping a tin of Lentils (since it sounds like their canned cat food and gets them running EVERY time...expcet this one) and hunting everywhere.

Paris turned up at 6.00PM, smelling of cold dirt and covered in cobwebs....god i wish they could talk...

Paris didn't seem concerned at bucky's absence, but I still was. He loves food so to think he couldn't get his are in to gear and come home with hours of tins tapping was really eating me up.

He never just "disappears" like this...he's the GOOD one for gawd's sake...

Lyndal came home, we fretted some more, cheered each other up, got upset..yay what fun. I went and bought a good LED torch and beganb the dusk hunt.

We'd really hoped he would come home on dusk for his dinner...but as the hours dragged on we just got more worried.

Neighbours hadn't seen him at all either excpet earlier in the day across the road where a dog is.

The usual suspect 'street cats' were out at dusk and still no sign of Bucky-boy..

I drove to my parent's house to get some bolt cutters, hell bent on creating an instant catdoor in the security screen and vowed to wait up until then i heard something else...

Bucky's loud pawfalls on the hardwood floor and a half-hearted "Prrrrp!". Paris had been sleeping with us all night and was all alert when she realised he entered the bedroom.

I scooped him up for "muchas smoochas" and called to Lyndal.

The little bastard was filthy and cobwebby as well....

We figure he went looking for Paris and got trapped somewhere, either in the yard with the dog or in antoher's cat's yard.

For all his girth, he's a big wussbag when it comes to other cats....

What a double -edged day!

We got news that afternoon during our fretting that his biopsy was negative for cancer and that it was potentially allergies.

To go from hope to thinking we'd lost him.....arrrrggghhhh!
stoopid universe!
stop messing wit me! :D

I love doing stuff around the house. My latest endeavor is installing real hardwood through out part of my house main floor. Not an easy task since I have more than 650 square feet to cover. I 've been working like a dog (hence not being around flickr lately). hopefully I'll be done with the project by the end of this week... BTW, I use some of my new "Brazilian Redwood" boards for this shot... and this is my new Ryobi Impact drill that I used to install plywood over my sub-floor... great power tool!
