Evacuation Litter - Disposable GO Stretcher

The disposable GO Stretcher is the lowest-cost emergency stretcher available. It features ten large hand-holds, allowing for easy patient handling. With a load capacity in excess of 500lbs, it can be used for everyday use, Mass Casualty and Disaster Preparedness, as a Backboard cover and Strapping Support System, as a Patient Transfer System to move the patient from the backboard to the hospital gurney, as a Gurney Sheet, as a Search and Rescue Gurney, as a Patient Transfer System to move the patient from the bed to a chair and back, or as a Seated Patient Evacuation System. The GO Stretcher is constructed of water-resistant coated woven polyethylene and is latex-free. SIZE (with handles): 35" x 71"

200 days to go. Today is a sort of monument in my project and I couldn't even get a portrait today! Reason being? I was in the hospital all day. This has been a pretty trippy event for me. I'm a little shaken up. Here's what happened:

At school: I was sitting in a.p. psych and we were watching a video on anorexia, which is a very sad disease. While we're sitting there watching the video I suddenly realized that I felt I was going to pass out. I tried to breath through it and relax and let it pass, but apparently it didn't and I tipped over in my desk and hit the floor. I woke up to my teacher asking me if I understood what happened, if I could see, if I knew where I was and so on and so forth while my class was trying to explain to the security guards what happened. I looked up to see two security guards, a police officer, a lady with a blanket and another lady with a wheel chair. Either these people had super speed powers or I was out for a very long time. My left contact had popped out when I hit the floor but I didn't realize it at first and started panicking because I couldn't see out of my left eye. But then I saw my contact. The class was sent out to lunch early and everyone took a few minutes trying to get me into the wheel chair to be taken to the health room. It is at this point that I realized my face got completely torn up from the carpet, but I couldn't see it so I didn't really realize how bad it was. I got to the health room and my blood sugar was insanely low and I almost passed out again so they called the ambulance and my mom. Mom calls my dad and within fifteen minutes they are both at the school and the ambulance had arrived with a stretcher.

In the ambulance: The gentlemen decides to give me an iv. So he gets my arm all prepared and sticks me with the iv needle. He changes his mind and decides I should get the iv in at the hospital. So he takes the needle out of my arm and bandages me up.

At the hospital: They prepare to give me an iv, and then realize that the arm they had planned on using had already been stuck with an attempted iv. So they stick me with the other arm and iv me there. I had a lovely british doctor who reminded me of my precious geometry teacher Mrs. Wightman. I ended up being at the hospital for about seven hours getting all kinds of tests done. The diagnosis was that the incident just occured because of stress.

Great.

At some point I saw myself in the mirror and burst out crying because my face looked so horrible. Oh well. The rest of the night consisted of laying down on my couch. And thats about it.
