Snow Globe - 1969

Snow Globe - 1969

This Snow Globe is carved out of a huge styrofoam ball and was assembled lovingly by my mother-in-law. There is a small light in the church, and a music box on the side of the globe. The "Noel Santa" mugs were also a gift from her in the early 1960's and we still have these. You can see from the closeup view that the figures are very tiny in size.

This Santa has been standing on our hearth since our kids were small. He stands 14 inches high and has a bag behind him full of tiny packages. Many of the ornaments behind him are from the 1940's or early 1950's having been cast off from my husband's mother's collection.
