The Return Of The Nike Air Force 1 Mid QS Jewel Sees A Mossy Green And Orange Pairing

01.03.2022.

With the return of 1997’s Nike Air Force 1 Mid QS Jewel “Independence Day” comes a slew of new colorways to join this all-time classic on the store shelves. While these new concoctions aren’t tied to a release from decades-plus prior, Nike has ensured a delivery of some great color-blocking and materials to give the Mid-top AF1 some solid vibes.

This upcoming release sees a mossy green overlay on the deliciously tumbled leather, appearing on the toe mudguard , heel, and ankle strap. White comprises the remainder of the upper build for that attractive contrast, while a blazing orange appears in the dimensionally jeweled Swoosh logo on the medial and lateral as well as on the mini check on the pull-down tab at the ankle. AF1 fans will be happy with the belt-buckle style lace dubrae, while the logo treatment on the tongue label color-matches that metallic look.

Perhaps the most compelling detail is on the inner side of the tongue, where two humanoid Swoosh logos are clearly chatting with one another. One of the two opines with “Inside out or outside in, as long as you’re right within”, perhaps reminding us that Mids deserve love too.

A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but expect an arrival during the Spring/Summer 2022 season.

The Nike Air Max BW Returns With A “Sport Red” Twist

21.02.2022.

After an appearance in original “Persian Violet” in mid-2021, the Nike Air Max BW ended the year in handfuls of city-specific colorways. While none of them stole the spotlight from other anniversary-celebrating propositions from the brand, Tinker Hatfield’s 31-year-old design seems poised to leave a longer-lasting impression throughout 2022, as it’s recently appeared in a compelling “White/Sport Red/Black” ensemble.

As was the case in 1991, the upcoming pair indulges in a mix of performance-running-oriented materials – mesh, suede, TPU and leather – across the robust upper. The majority of the sneaker’s top-half boasts a “colorless” arrangement that allows for contrasting “Sport Red” and “Black” to pop that much more; profile swooshes, tops of tongues and collar areas opt for the boldest tone of the bunch. Panels around the forefoot extend to the spine, bringing along pitch-dark contrast. Down below, the Air Max offering maintains a relatively simple color combination, though stability structures wrapped around the bottom of the shoe borrow “Sport Red” flair from up top, giving the “Big Window” sneaker a look reminiscent of Chicago Bulls-appropriate styles from the 1990s.

No firm Nike SNKRS release date has been confirmed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as spring and summer inch closer. In the meantime, enjoy product shots of the pair here below,

Elsewhere in the NIKE, Inc. empire, the “Bart Simpson” SB Dunk Low has recently appeared via official images.

NIKE COVERS THE SB DUNK LOW IN A PRETTY PAISLEY

Following recently revealed St. Patrick’s Day and Kentucky-themed drops, Nike SB is bringing an upscale print to the Dunk Low. Teased via Instagram user @repgod888, the upcoming release dons an all-over classic paisley print combining burgundy, blue, green and pink hues.

Chocolate brown trims the shoe’s panels, then goes on to cover the laces, lining and tongue tag. A bright white Swoosh and midsole offer contrast and a retro-inspired gum outsole finishes off the design.

While no official release date has been announced, we expect this pair to hit skate shops in the coming weeks.
