We are pleased to inform, that from 2006 the HIGH FEST International Performing Arts Festival welcomes performing arts companies and artists to present their productions in all genres of performing arts including theatre (drama, comedy, mime, movement, circus, street performances, puppet/marionette, fingers theatre, visual), dance (modern, folk, classic etc.), music (opera, classical, musical, contemporary, jazz, folk etc) and other forms of performing arts.
Besides the Main Program of HIGH FEST 2008, two Festivals will be held in the framework of the Festival:
*International Festival of Puppet and Children Performances (fourth edition);
*ARMS FEST - Armenian International Student and Youth Festival (third edition).

Note !!! If the Advisory Board finds your work interesting, but the deadline of the festival has already passed or your work is out of the format of the festival, we can offer you to participate at the Fringe Programme which means you take care all of your expenses. The Organizing Committee provides marketing and publicity costs, as well as free access to all performances and connected events.

2.Choose the festival program you are applying to:
• Main Programme;
• Puppet and Children Performances;
• Student/Youth Performances (ARMS FEST);

5. Genre, number of acts;
6. Director, actors;
7. List of previous festivals theatre participated at;
8. Number and names of arriving people (actors and others);

For selection process we need information pack, photos (good resolution / quality if digital) and full length video, DVD, VCD.
A first selection will be established and the selected companies will be asked to send more information and confirm their availability.

Conditions of participation
The selection for HIGH FEST 2008 is mainly based on the following criteria:
• Shows of the high quality and professionalism
• Shows and performances of all genres of performing arts; not exceeding 5-7 person
• Companies happy to take part in workshops, meetings and discussions;
• Companies happy to work together with the festival organizers to make things possible;
The season
• Each company (or part of the company) will actively participate in workshops, master classes and meetings with famous theatre practitioners;
• Each company will be able to see the work of other invited artists and to make new contacts.

The conditions
The Organizing Committee provides the following:
• Accommodation (max 4 nights) and 2 meals;
• Free access to all Festival events / performances etc;
• There is possibility of giving a modest fee to some companies chosen by Organizing Committee
Local transportation from and to airport
• Technical and administrative costs;
• Press, marketing and publicity costs;
• Diplomas and souvenirs.

The companies are responsible for their expenses of travel, visa and Exit Duty of 22 EUROS/special state tax of Yerevan Airport for any person leaving Armenia

GalataPerform, an artist-run interdisciplinary performance venue in Istanbul, is organizing an event in March 08, exploring new fields and new approaches in performance: Performance Time 08. The aim is
to bring together local and foreign artists from a number of disciplines, such as, performance art,
experimental theatre, dance, music; all, which can be associated with the art of performance.

Artists interested in presenting their performances in Performance Time 08, are invited to email galataperform@gmail.com. GalataPerform
will provide accommodation during the event for elected artists, in the houses of local artists and give technical support for performances. Artists will cover their traveling expenses and provide their material.

#7th International Festival of Performance Art, Toronto, Canada

This is the call for submissions for 7a*11d's 7th International Festival of Performance Art in 11 years, taking place in Toronto from October 22 – November 2, 2008.

Call for submissions

Organized by an unincorporated non-profit group of artists, 7a*11d presents a series of performance art events and artist projects in a festival setting. Our purpose is to offer a professional showcase for new and progressive performance art works. Artist organizers will select emerging and established artists of the highest quality from around the world that showcase the breadth and depth of performance art as a genre. We pay artist fees and try to subsidize travel, but please note that our budget is limited and not adequate to support troupes or companies.

PLUS:

D2D - Direct to Documentation: A video program of performance documentation.

Can't come to the Festival? We still want to see your work! Send us an edited tape [five minutes or less on NTSCVHS, Hi-8, mini-DV, CD or DVD] of your performance documentation or performance for camera. (No PAL or SECAM tapes, please!) Selected tapes will be curated into a screening program. Artist fees will be paid for those selected for screening.

#CALL - 4th Ordu International Theatre Festival for Children & Youth, Turkey

The fourth Ordu International Theatre for Children and Youth Festival will be organized by the collaboration of Municipality of Ordu and TOBAV between 2nd and 8th June 2008.

As being Turkish Theatre Opera and Ballet Member's Foundation (TOBAV), we wish we like to hold continuous campaign which called "YES TO ART". .. One of the aim of this campaign to organise festivals for coming together and improving the philosophy of art as a life style through Best theatre and drama..

The habitants of Ordu are very sensitive for our festival. And it is possible to use all city as a theatre stage which opened streets, areas and parks. Also there are two Italian stages for our use.

With our collaborations of the Municipality ; the groups, which will participate in the Festival, must be maximum 15 people. Accommodation and food for participant groups will be provided by Municipality of Ordu.

Local and foreign groups will be determined from their application and CD, by a jury, which will be founded under the authority of TOBAV executive committee.

We hope that you will send the appended form for 4th Ordu International Theatres for Children and Youth Festival by fulfilling it with CD of your play, photographs, brochure and poster to TOBAV General Center until 04th April 2008, the last date for application and we repeat our call
'Yes to Art'.

#14th Alaçati International Theatre Festival for Children & Youth, Turkey

Deadline: 4th April 2008.

14th ALACATI INTERNATIONAL THEATRES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH FESTIVAL will be organized by TOBAV (Theatre Opera and Ballet members foundation) with the collaboration of Municipality of Alaçati on 23rd and 28th June 2008.

Municipality of Alaçati related to Izmir and Çesme is an intersection, where the multinational people meet in the same place, and is a cute place which has got many historical values.

With combination all invited groups under the slogan of " All Alaçati is a theatre stage", Alaçati will be a living theatre platform.

We believe that theatre removes the international borders and makes positive relations among the people from different cultures. One of the most basic aims of the Festival is to provide knowledge and experience exchange among the 'young' people having different social and cultural points of view. The Festival, to which three native and three foreign groups will be join, will be symbol of friendship and brotherhood.

Accommodation and food outcomes will be provided by Municipality of Alaçati and transport of the Festival will be provided by participant groups. Participant amount of the groups will be maximum 15 (fifteen) (including technical personnel).

If you wish to joint to the Festival, you must apply to TOBAV General Center by fulfilling appended application form with CD of play, photographs, brochures and posters until 4th April 2008. Play Selections will be realized by jury which will be founded by TOBAV.
