His Dreams
What does Richie dream and how is it interpreted?
1. Once I've dreamt, that I made a picknick with my father. Near to it there was a toilet for outside. Suddenly it became alive. I knew that this toilet wanted something from me. I told my father but he thought I was just a joke from me.
2. I'm often running naked at school or in the supermarket in my dreams, that's so embarassing, that I wake up right away.
3. In one dream my brother had the body of Gollum, from „The Lord of the rings“. We were in my father's car, then we landed in a puddle and my brother drowned in the car.
Interpretation: The brother in Richie's dream represents his other side in him, a side which he doesn't like. But fortunetaly is this side not really strong otherwise Gollum wouldn't drown so easily. That Richie is dreaming that he is naked which is embarrassing for him shows that it's difficult for him to show his real character. The toilet could represent the womb. Probably because he wants to be more independent towards his mother...
