Početak (1992-2003)
Adam, Brad i Neil su 1992 osnovali bend nazvan Groundswell dok su bili 1 razred srednje škole. Bilo ih je 4 ali ih je 4 član napustio 1997. Brad je preimenovo bend i zbog razloga što su ostala njih trojica nazvao Three Days Grace.
2000 izdali su 3 demo pjesme i peselili se iz Norwood u Toronto. Upoznali su izdavača Gavina Browna, koji je bio član benda Big Sugar. Pomogao im je izdati svoj samorađeni debitanski album (Three Days Grace), koji je izdan 2003. Ušao je u prvih 10 Amreican albums chart i prvih 100 Canadian Billboard 200 albums chart, i broj 2 na Billboard's Top Heatseejers chart.
Razdoblje (2003-2006)
Nakon završetka albuma bend je primio gitaristu Barya Stocka.
Vodeći singl je bio „I Hate (Everything About You)“ bio je broj jedan na Amričkim ljestvicama Modern Rock i Mainstrem Rock charts, i broj 2 na Kanadskoj rok ljestvici.
Njihov drugi singl „Just Like You“ bio je 2 na Američim i isto tako hit u Kanadi
Njihov treći singl „ Home“ bio je hit 2 mjesto na US Modern Rock chart i 2 najslušanija pjesma Actic Rock of 20005.
Četvrti singl „Wake Up“ bio je samo na Kanadskom radiu i također uspješan na Kanadskom Rock chartu.
Prva 3 singla su često puštana na MTV,MTV2, Muchmusc/Fuse.
2004, Gavin Brown je dobio Juno Award za producenski posao u TDG. Bend je bio nominiran za Novu grupu godine ali su izgubili od Billya Talenta.
2005 Adam je bio na liječenje u Oxycontin u CANH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health), gdje je napiso mnoge pjesme za album One X uključujući Animal I Have Become, Over and Over, Pain i još par. Još uvijek je zdrave pameti.
One X (2006- sadašnjost)
31.3. 2006. su objavili prvi singl s albuma One x „ Animal I Have Become“ koji je bio broj 1 na obje Američke Rok ljestvice. One X je izdan 13.6.2006. i bio je broj 5 na Billboard 200. U prvom tjednu prodano je 78.000 primjeraka.
Drugi singl je bio „Pain“, treći „Never Too Late i svi su bili vrlo uspješni na listama.
Na turneji su se priključili Breaking Benjamin i u 4 mjesecu su jedan dan imali koncert u različitm gradovima sa Breaking Benjamin, Buckcherry, Hinder and ZZ Top.Imali su neobičnu kratku pauzu kada su primjetilli da Neilova žena Janin rodila kćer Violet
Novi album očekuje se 2008.
