The Legendary Wu-Tang Clan - The Original 9 Stara sjajna bagra iz Wu-Tang Clan napokon je, međutim počela objavljivati albume u normalnim razmacima. Name: RZA Real Name: Robert Diggs Dropped: July 5, 1969 Label: N/A Web: N/A Bio: RZA is the Wu-Tang Clan’s chief producer. Also known as the Abbott, Prince Rakee.. Name: GZA/Genius Real Name: Gary Grice Dropped: August 22, 1966 Label: N/A Web: N/A Bio: When it comes to thought provoking, street-bred raw lyricism, the Wu-Tang Clan'sfountain of wisdom, GZA takes his job very seriously. The way he crafts his double-edged rhyme flow mirrors the skill and precise technique of one who works with fine ceramics. GZA's metaphoric and multi-layered lyrics are often touted by critics as his rap name implies; genius. Name: Ol' Dirty Bastard Real Name: Russell Jones Dropped: Nov. 15, 1968 Label: Rocafella Web: N/A Russell Jones a.k.a. Ol' Dirty Bastard passed away on November 13, 2004.. R.I.P. ODB... Name: Method Man Real Name: Clifford Smith Dropped: April 1, 1971 Label: N/A Web: methodman.com Bio: There are a few things that Method Man wants to make sure everyone is clear on. First off, that he's matured and even grown as an artist and, uh, a man.'My dick got bigger; 'Meth says, grinning ever so slightly.' My fans wanna hear that shit! How I've changed is that my dick got bigger and my voice got deeper.' On a less personal level, Meth wants it to be known that his goal in recording Tical 0: The Prequel was 'to give shit to people that they gonna wanna buy with they funky asses. Cuz people just don't understand me, man.' Oh and one more thing. Don't call don't call Tical 0 a comeback, or worse yet a reintroduction. Name: Raekwon Real Name: Corey Woods Dropped: January 12, 1970 Label: N/A Web: raekwonthechef.com Bio: In 1993, hip-hop would be forever changed by the emergence of the gritty, Shaolin style of the seminal rap clique, the Wu-Tang Clan. Straight from the streets of Staten Island , New York , a unique conglomerate of nine individually exceptional lyricists flourished. Fondly referred to as the Wu, RZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, GZA, U-God, Masta Killa, and Ol' Dirty Bastard, released the epic album Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. This debut garnered rave reviews because it provided listeners with a fresh approach to hip-hop. Moreover, the Wu set trends in a time when hip-hop's radio play and sales were championed largely by west coast artists. Name: Ghostface Real Name: Dennis Coles Dropped: May 9, 1970 Label: Def Jam Web: ghostface.net Bio: Wu-Tang's Iron Man sums up his move to Def Jam succinctly: "Same different label." For Tony Starks's legions of fans, those four words should bring dope music to their ears-literally. Yep, Ghost is back with his fourth solo LP, The Pretty Toney Album, and ain't nothing changed but the imprint. Nearly three years have passed since 2001's Bulletproof Wallets, and Ghost is anxious to inject his lyrical wizardry back into the rap game. "When you get something real vintage and out of the ordinary, best believe that shit gonna stand out," says the Staten Island native. "That's how I try to keep my music." Name: Inspectah Deck Real Name: Jason Hunter Dropped: July 6, 1970 Label: N/A Web: inspectahdeck.net Bio: As a member of one of the most significant musical collectives in recent history, Inspectah Deck of the Wu-Tang Clan has never fallen victim to the ill powers that be. Inspectah Deck was one of the featured rappers on many of the Wu Tang Clan's major hits like: Triumph, C.R.E.A.M., Pinky Ring and more. And just like any gracious minded veteran, the Staten Island raised MC is primed to supply the street's demand for real live hip-hop on his second solo album, The Movement due out on I.N.S. Productions/KOCH Entertainment/ In The Paint. Name: U-God Real Name: Lamont Hawkins Dropped: October 11, 1970 Label: N/A Web: N/A Bio: Though missing most of the making of Enter the 36 Chambers U-God returned... Name: Masta Killa Real Name: Jamal Turner Dropped: August 18, 1969 Label: N/A Web: mastakilla.net Bio: The most quiet and mysterious Wu-Tang member, Masta Killa rarely speaks during public appearances and interviews and very little is known about him. "I know I seem serious and quiet to a lot of the fans. That's because I take my work seriously. It's not a game. The Clan and I work hard to give you the best," says Masta Killa. "I'm bringing back that original Wu-tang sound. I'm bringing the family and fans back together like how everyone remembers...the whole Wu-tang movement. I know what they've been waiting for all these years any they won't be disappointed." |
