2011 NFL Draft: Best and Worst Case Scenarios for the Philadelphia Eagles

With the 2011 NFL Draft only a month away, teams are scrambling to put their draft strategies in order. Whether or not there is a new collective bargaining agreement in place before April 28th will drastically effect many teams’ battle plans, so front offices need to plan for both possibilities.

Any Eagles fan who has followed the draft over the past decade has learned that Andy Reid and his fellow front office members love to wheel and deal on draft day. This year, they will start with 10 picks, ranging from the 23rd overall selection down to the 239th pick in the seventh round.

How the Eagles are able to improve their team with those 10 picks will depend on a variety of different factors, so let’s examine a few different scenarios that could occur on draft day.

Super Bowl Betting – It’s A Neutral’s Dream As The Steelers And Packers Square Off

Super Bowl betting players will have to choose between two of the most storied and popular franchises in the history of the NFL as Pittsburgh will take on Green Bay. The Steelers have won six Super Bowls, while the Packers have won three, and the Lombardi Trophy that goes to the winner of the Super Bowl was named after Green Bay coaching legend Vince Lombardi.

Steelers Packers Betting - Sunday, 6:00 PM ET

The Steelers roared back after missing the playoffs last season, winning the AFC North, and then they disposed of their North rivals from Baltimore, along with the chatty New York Jets. Pittsburgh has a couple of injuries to worry about as center Maurkice Pouncey and end Aaron Smith will sit this game, out, but they have a ton of championship experience, led by Ben Roethlisberger, who is looking for his third Super Bowl in six years.

The Packers have done this the hard way, beating Philadelphia, Atlanta and their NFC North rivals from Chicago all on the road to get to this point.Aaron Rodgers has arguably been the MVP of the playoffs, especially for his slaughter of the Falcons, but the Green Bay defense has also been outstanding, especially linebacker Clay Matthews and the corner duo of Tramon Williams and Sam Shields, who take a lot of pressure off veteran Charles Woodson.

Super Bowl betting odds have the Packers as a 2.5-point favorite in Dallas, and this is a matchup worthy of deciding the champion of the NFL. They are two very similar teams, especially on defense, but we have to give a slight edge to Roethlisberger, whose postseason pedigree would put most of the NFL to shame. Take Pittsburgh when you’re betting online this weekend.
