How To Repair Flat Tire
- (Flat Tired) This is a complete listing of episodes from the animated television series Garfield and Friends. The first episode of Garfield and Friends aired on September 17, 1988.

- (How To’s) Multi-Speed Animations
- A how-to or a how to is an informal, often short, description of how to accomplish some specific task. A how-to is usually meant to help non-experts, may leave out details that are only important to experts, and may also be greatly simplified from an overall discussion of the topic.
- Providing detailed and practical advice
- restore by replacing a part or putting together what is torn or broken; "She repaired her TV set"; "Repair my shoes please"
- Fix or mend (a thing suffering from damage or a fault)
- a formal way of referring to the condition of something; "the building was in good repair"
- Put right (a damaged relationship or unwelcome situation)
- the act of putting something in working order again
- Make good (such damage) by fixing or repairing it
Right before...
Kind of like "Right Now" - but before.
I hit a pothole on the way to my son's tutoring tonight, just when I was pulling into the strip mall. It kind of sounded funny as I pulled into the parking spot and I suspected a flat. Sure enough, when we got out and checked, it was definitely flat.
Once I got over feeling sorry for myself and was able to think of a plan, I made some phone calls (it was a new-for-me-car and it was cold and rainy out), and my brother came to my rescue. But before he got there, I got the spare and the jack out. And I jacked the car up. I was ready to take off the tire, but I couldn't figure out how to get the cover thingy off - the part that covers the lug nuts. It looks like they are some kind of screw things and I didn't have any allen wrenches. I went inside the mattress store (coincidentally, where I did a FDT before) and the guy had some allen wrenches and offered to help. The wrenches didn't do anything to those darn screw things.
When my brother got there, he looked at it and figured that the middle circle just popped off. And it did. He was able to swap out the spare quickly. Hopefully, I can get it repaired tomorrow and I didn't damage the rim.
Field Repair
This was the second of five flat tires suffered by my group this day. Thin road slicks combined with gritty wet conditions really did us in. Fortunately, we had the supplies to patch every one.
It was also interesting to note how we formed blood clots (so to speak) every time we stopped. Our disruption along the edge of the flow of riders seemed to act as a safe refuge, enticing other riders to stop at the same place we did.
