MISSED OUT? GET THE JORDAN 1 HIGH POLLEN HERE

22 veljača 2022

There are no points for guessing why the Jordan 1 High has dominated the last two years of sneaker releases. Nike is piling resources and time into the silhouette, positioning it as an all-time classic with timeless potential. On the heels of Travis Scott’s latest smash-hit Jordan 1 comes the Jordan 1 High Pollen which released on August 14.

Any long-time Swoosh fans will probably feel like they’ve pined over this design before. In a way, you have. The Nike Air Jordan 1 High Pollen bears a striking resemblance to the highly sought-after 1999 Wu-Tang Nike Dunk with its two-tone color blocking.

Black tumbled leather sets the foundation for Pollen Yellow leather overlays in a simple yet striking style. The black and yellow palette holds weight in the Nike world, placing the Jordan 1 High Pollen in the conversation for future classics. Adding to that case is the fact that the design comes with special packaging. The Swoosh-adorned shoe box comes in a matching bumblebee colorway which is sure to excite collectors.

While the Pollen retails for $170, you might be hard-pushed to secure a pair at that price. StockX market data shows a 12-month trade range of $223-$700 but an average sale price of $301. As far as this year’s Jordan 1 releases have gone, a price premium of 47% feels fairly kind, so this might be a pair to keep on ice for a few years.

First Look At The Air Jordan 1 “Varsity Red” With Chenille Swoosh Logos

So far, 2022’s batch of Air Jordan 1s is slightly more interesting from the year past. Retros and Retro-likes are fewer and farther between, replaced by more original designs. The upcoming women’s exclusive “Varsity Red” is but what one example as it adds an extra layer of texture to a common Jordan Brand palette.

Revealed in the flesh for the first time since its unveil, the shoe sports a standard leather construction through the upper. Thick, robust panels of red outfit the toe, eye stay, ankle flaps, and counter, wrapping over top a white base and grey collar. And much like the laces and tread, the Swoosh is colored the titular hue, though it does with a chenille commonly found on letterman jackets.

Enjoy a quick look at the pair right here. Previously, these were rumored to be on the way for February 4th, but that may have changed as there was no mention of the colorway in the Spring 2022 preview.

Jordan Brand Prepares the Air Jordan 1 for Winter With a Fur-Lined Acclimate Model

Jordan Brand has prepped the Air Jordan 1 for inclement fall and winter weather with a new Acclimate model. Equal parts shoe and boot, the Air Jordan 1 Acclimate is a rugged take on Michael Jordan‘s first signature sneaker that boasts a season-specific construction with rubberized embellishments, a soft sherpa fleece lining and more.

As is fitting for a weatherproofed Air Jordan silhouette, the Acclimate has debuted in an all-black colorway. The forefoot and midfoot are made of glossy leather, with the standard toebox perforations sunken in and closed to prevent water from seeping through. The top three eyestays offer boot-like D-rings, the heel features a rubberized Air Jordan ball-and-wings badge and the collar features pockmarked detailing that’s somewhat reminiscent of the Air Jordan 13.

Tongues continue the dotted stylings found on the collar, and are equipped with a black rubber tag that boasts a white Jordan spellout. A shaggy black sherpa fleece provides both trim and lining, ensuring a warm and cozy fit. Down below, black rubber midsoles feature an extra layer of rubber foxing for durability. Traditional outsoles complete the look.

The Air Jordan 1 Acclimate has yet to receive an official release date or pricing information, but it’s likely to arrive this fall.

The Air Jordan 5 Low “Arctic Pink” Drops Right Before Valentine’s Day

11 veljača 2022

Officially unveiled during Jordan Brand’s Spring 2022 preview, the Air Jordan 5 Low “Arctic Pink” is but one of a few upcoming women’s exclusives. And while the silhouette isn’t quite as popular as its taller sibling, this colorway helps push the low-top a little more out of the shadows.

There’s no better a palette, too, as it’s easily one of the shoe’s brightest in years. Throughout the leather upper, the titular pink runs uninhibited, hurdling over the slightly desaturated netting and the brighter, hotter pinks that touch up the lace lock and Jumpman embroidery. Along the midsole, the latter shade makes yet another appearance, effectively reimagining the beloved “Fire Red” tooling.

For a closer, more detailed look at these, check out the official images below. A release, following a short delay, is slated to hit retailers and Nike SNKRS on February 11th.
