Too easy, Kompressed got it straight away. This is a Ukrainian ZAZ 966 Launched in 1967, the car has a 1200cc engine (rear engined, air cooled). The car is known as the Zaphorozhets after the closest town to the ZAZ factory.

Double the fun: two NSU TT cars side by side
These cars were light and equipped with powerful air cooled rear engines. This made them popurlar among amateur sports drivers. "TT" stands for "Tourist Trophy", the famous motorcycle race on the Isle of Man. I assume that this refers to the impressive history of the NSU company as a maker of motorcycles. Some of them were record breaking constructions.

Crewe Cheshire 12th August 2011
It's 22.27 and we have just arrived back in Crewe with the Scarborough Flyer from Scarborough pulled by British Railways 4-6-2 70013 Oliver Cromwell. Crewe station is pretty quiet although there is a small welcoming party at the south end of platform 5. Peter the driver has a few words with one of them.
We departed Crewe for Scarborough at 07.27 so it's been a long day - 18.5 hrs since we got up in fact - but we still have to stable the stock, turn the loco and support coach and get back into Crewe Heritage Centre.
We turned on the triangle via Gresty Lane, Crewe Sorting Sidings North & Crewe station. Surprisingly we completed this manoeuvre, & via platform 6, were straight on shed at the Heritage Centre within 30 minutes. This was 48 minutes ahead of schedule and well before midnight. This gave us plenty of time for a few welcome drinks before collapsing in bed.

Wine BArrel Art Niche Outside Wine Cellar
This customer had an existing wine cellar, but it was not conditioned. We installed a split system cooling unit in another mechanical closet, and ran duct work to the cellar. (Cellar not pictured). We were also hired to design and install a wine tasting room (pictured). This room is adjacent to the cellar and is meant to be a place to relax and enjoy great wines. We started with a reclaimed wine barrel flooring. This flooring looks great, and has the stamps from the barrels to add character. We then installed a wainscoting and crown moulding to give it a richer look and feel. The door was removed to a closet, and we installed a half wine barrel into the wall as an art niche. The art niche was finished out with an LED recessed can light. This light gives them an energy efficient fixture that can stay on as an accent light most of the time, while staying cool. We also installed a smoke eater in the ceiling so that the room doubles as a cigar lounge. The smoke eater filters the air, and keeps the smoke from entering the rest of the home. The walls were finished with American Clay natural earth plaster which cleans the air, add negative ions to enlighten moods, and regulates humidity.

Drinking Water
This is where the drinking water comes from for the small town about 5 miles from my farm. Makes me feel, warm and fuzzy and tainted.
Fortunately for me, I have a water well. Then the my water (crystal clear to begin with) is filtered, goes though a water softener and finally what we drink is processed by reverse osmosis. Of course, the water from this lake is processed before being distributed, at least my water starts out crystal clear and ducks don't poop in it.

Day 221: Helping Hayden with homework
Hayden is a very good student and has always had good grades, unlike me when I was his age! I always take the time to do his homework, even though there's other things I'd like to do. I love that we can even laugh and have a good time while doing homework! I have many unhappy memories of homework time, yelling, crying and feeling horrible about myself. I'm so glad that my son won't have those memories though.

Strouden Park is an area of north Bournemouth.
The name Strouden evolves from an Old English word meaning 'marsh' and possibly refers to the area being part of the flood plain of the nearby River Stour.
In 1802 all that lay between Poole and Christchurch, themselves not the large towns they are today, was unspoilt, and unhihabited heathland with a few very minor exceptions which we don't need to trouble ourselves with for the purposes of keeping things simple.
To the north and east of the heath was the more fertile land of the river Stour along which lay the old settlements of Tuckton [ Wick ], Iford [ Pokesdown ], Holdenhurst, Throop, Muscliffe, Ensbury etc.
To the folk that worked the land in these areas, mainly poor agricultural workers and small holders, the heath was an invaluable asset that provided grazing for livestock, fuel for fires with which to heat homes and to cook upon, along with many other benefits.
The heath and surrounding land to the north and east was classed as common land but in the Christchurch Inclosure Act of 1802 the land was privatised and put into the hands of a variety of owners, some owned large areas and others owned very small plots.
This Act eventually paved the way for the founding of the town of Bournemouth, the official birth of which is commemorated as 1810 when Captain Lewis Tregonwell and his wife Henrietta purchased a plot of land in what is today's town centre upon which to build a holiday home. It was completed in 1812 and still survives as part of the Royal Exeter Hotel opposite the Bournemouth International Centre in Exeter Rd. As well as building their 'Mansion' the Tregonwells also purchased further land and built up relatively modest estate with a few cottages for letting to friends and family which became known as 'Bourne Tregonwell'.
This small unassuming estate was all but unknown to the outside world for twenty five years until the mid 1830s when Sir George Gervis embarked upon a plan to build his vision of a new seaside resort to rivlal the likes of the then fashionable Brighton and Weymouth. This wouldn't be a seaside resort as we would think of it today, with sand castles, ice creams, buckets and spades, speedos and bikinis but more of a health spa appealing to those with a delicate constitution, suffering from or recovering from an ailment or long term health issue, commonly of the chest.
The new resort began to take shape in the late 1830s and was initially known as the Marine Village at Bourne, or plain old Bourne, and included the Bath Hotel, since extended as the Royal Bath Hotel, Westover Villas, large houses that lined Westover Rd, later replaced by an ice rink, shops and cinemas.
The fledgling town grew relatively slowly at first and became known as Bournemouth from around the 1850s but with the arrival of the railways and the granting of the first bank holidays in the 1870s the town grew remarkably quickly in the last decades of the 1800s.
The town's first official boundary came in 1856 when it was set as being within a one mile radius of what is today Pier Approach but a number of boundary extensions over the years saw the town grow to the size it is today by 1932.
As previously mentioned the area to the north and east of the heath that Bournemouth now occupies was home to the ancient settlements of Wick, Holdenhurst ,Throop etc that sprang up along the river Stour with the area's fertile land used for farming crops and rearing livestock.
Between the Stour and the edge of the heath ran the main route linking Christchurch and Wimborne, part of which became today's Castle Lane East and Castle Lane West. Many of the area's other old tracks became some of the main roads that still exist within the town.
The land at Strouden being in such close proximity to the Stour was also fertile enough to be farmed and Strouden Farm survived well into the 1900s and was used to house the Corporation work horses in later years until the farm was gradually broken up and the Mallard Rd bus depot was built on the heart of the farm in the early 1950s. It is now the site of the Mallard Rd retail park.
Further along today's Castle Lane West there was Moredown [ Moor Down / Moordown ] Farm, later renamed Charminster Farm and Hunt's Farm on the land where the heath sloped down to the Stour valley where Nursery Rd / Malvern Rd and their environs are today. There was also a small, scattered rural community in the general Moordown area and at Redhill, again due to the close proximity to the Stour.
Today it is vitually impossible to imagine the former rural nature of the area that Castle Lane West cuts through as it makes it's way through Strouden Park towards Moordown, a hint of which survived into the 1970s or even the early 80s, but of which nothing remains today.
The last of the town's greenbelt clings desperately by it's finger tips along the Stour across the very north of Bournemouth where the earliest of the area's settlements first appeared many years

The African penguin is 20 inches tall and weighs 6-7 lb.. Color and shapes of the penguins varies with each species. Usually the chest and head are either yellow, red, white, black and blue. Their heads are long, and their beaks are pointed.
Penguins locate their nests under rocks or vegetation for shade and predator protection. There are 17 total species and only 4 live year round on ice.
Penguins are warm blooded and can swim in waters half their body temperature (which would be the equivalent of you or me swimming in 48 degree water). In cold water, the penguins breed during the warm seasons. Those who live in warm climates breed anytime. They lay 1-2 eggs.
Currently, there is one male penguin on loan which was caught in the wild in 1977. Most of the penguins at the Fort Worth Zoo were donated by the San Antonio Zoo when their penguin exhibit was closed. Here at the zoo they are fed trout, and they are tagged by the workers in order to monitor behavior, how much they consume, and training.

Although we typically take a small cooler with us with about 3-5 liters of frozen water bottles when paddling single bodies of water (that would be trips without portages) the ice water serves as a cooler for our lunch and we end up drinking the melted water. During mid summer this is really nice to have ice cold water on the second or even 3rd day of a paddling trip. However, we still need to filter or boil a few liters on any given weekend. For that reason Aim really loves the Katadyn Basecamp.
No more 40 strokes per liter, just fill the bag up and hang. Either let it drain into a big camp jug, or fill bottles/pots individually as needed. When new and working well the Basecamp filters a liter in about 2-3 minutes. Not blazing fast, but perfect for, well, basecamps and large groups!
Of note, my first basecamp just randomly stopped working after maybe 30 liters of filtering clean water, way too soon. So I wouldn't trust this filter for trips as a solo form of filtration. I would pair it with a secondary hand pump.
And no, I'm not a fan of things like chemical filtration or worse, those gimmicky SteriPens. The reason is that if you are filtering water you won't always have a crystal clear source. While I don't look to filter out of mud puddles or swamps, sometimes you have no choice. A mechanical pump is still best for these situations, and least likely to fail. Being potable doesn't just mean it's safe to drink, it also means you WANT to drink it. Even if I can make a mud puddle SAFE to drink, it doesn't mean I will drink it.

The Darkness (Xbox 360)
Finally played my way through The Darkness. Fantastic game that wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. The direction, voice acting, & story really gelled to form a cohesive experience. At times it felt like I was playing a movie more than a game. That's not to say I wasn't in control, I just felt like part of something bigger as I made my way through the game.
Somewhere during my journey with The Darkness I began to feel as if I was the main character Jackie. His emotions were my emotions and at one pivotal part in the game I wanted to reach through my tv and strangle the protagonist with my bare hands - kudos on a story that can make me feel that way.
The Darkness offers a good deal of freedom and lets you roam the city 'off the rails' (though you do take the subway from place to place. In order to add a shot of reality the game has you relying on street signs at times to find your way around. Very cool, though frustrating as I did manage to get lost a few times.
As for action, it's there but done in such a way that it doesn't boil over the story. I don't want to say it's subdued, because it's definitely not, it's more just blended in. There are plenty of gun battles and tricky situations which aside from some side missions fall in nicely with the story.
One thing with the story though is I got lost along the way. I mean, I understood what was happening, and why I was just confused about my actions and the effects they were going to have. There is also one part where the story takes a mad turn for the bizzare, and it's one helluva ride.
While there are a few scares in the game, for the most part thanks to the Darkness powers I felt like the baddest ass around. I didn't creep around corners or try to hide, I walk around with my head held high and a bit of kick-ass in my step. As I walked around I had this "you don't want to f*ck with me" attitude, and for good reason - what my darkness powers didn't finish my guns sure would.
In addition to the darkness powers you can also summon up these little demon guys (Darklings) which while amusing are about as dumb as they come. After having little luck getting the humorous Darklings to co-operate I eventually just stopped summoning them altogether.
This game is very gangster-oriented, something I was not at all expecting. There's a lot of 'don't disrespect the family' going around, which normally is not my thing - but I found myself really enjoying playing along. After long play sessions a bit of the tough guy talk would rub off on me, much to the dismay of Ev.
Graphically, I would say the game is pretty damn stunning and what you'd expect from this 'next gen'. Sound quality is up there as well, but it's easy to overlook everything as you get completely wrapped up in the story.
I only dabbled with the multiplayer, but honestly after such a satisfying single player experience I felt I had gotten my money's worth.
If you're itching to be a gangster with some kick ass evil powers in the middle of a world of hurt, the Darkness is just what you're looking for...
Bullet Witch (PAL)
Die neueste Ergänzung meiner 360-Sammlung. Ergattert für ca. 12€ bei eBay.
Das Game ist IMO besser und unterhaltsamer als die meisten Reviews vermuten ließen. Fans von Oneechanbara (der Spiele) sollten es sich auf jeden Fall mal anschauen, denn beide sind sich vom Gameplay her recht ähnlich. Und Alicia ist mindestens genauso cool/heiß wie Aya!
Allerdings sollte man schon schauen, dass man das Game möglichst günstig bekommt. Die original verlangten 40-50€ (Amazon = 45€) sind einfach zuviel. Dafür ist es IMO viel zu kurz und hat zuviele technische Macken. Außerdem braucht man auch noch ein bisschen Kohle für die zusätzlichen Missionen und (kostenlosen) Outfits, die man sich von Xbox Live runterladen kann. Aber 10-15€ sind sehr gut angelegt dafür und helfen, die Zeit bis zum Erscheinen von Bayonetta schneller rumzukriegen. :)
