Patta Continues Its Nike Air Max 1 Legacy With The Global Release Of The “Monarch”
ponedjeljak , 28.02.2022.Amsterdam’s Patta continues to stand at the mantle of Air Max 1 collaborations, dropping breathtakingly simple creation after another in impeccable fashion. Not one to stray from proven materials on the retro runner, Patta delivers its most unique Air Max 1 yet by recrafting mudguard of the ’87 runner in an unpredictably wavy silhouette. Despite the significant change, Patta sticks to suede and mesh to achieve that classic Air Max 1 build while adding the miniature Swoosh at the forefoot and the label’s script logo on the tongue.
Considering the relative scarcity of Air Max 1 collaborations, let alone Air Max 1s period, Patta’s Monarchs have coerced even the most dormant of sneakerheads. And after initially launching at Patta on October 8th, the Patta Air Max 1 is now scheduled to release globally on SNKRS and select retailers for $160, each employing a draw/raffle system. PATTA X NIKE CELEBRATE SPORTS AND COMMUNITY IN NEXT EPISODE OF “THE WAVE”
To celebrate the launch of their new Air Max 1 “The Wave,” Nike and Patta are teaming up on a series of films and talks that hone in on the relationships between shoes, style, and community. For the third installment, “Forward,” Nike SNKRS is hosting a live conversation that delves into the role of sports in empowering young people and enabling community development through the lens of the Patta Running Team and the Favela Street Foundation. The live panel talk will be streaming via the SNKRS app on Thursday, November 18 at 9 p.m. CEST from Amsterdam.
For a runner or football player, there are few things more important than a pair of sneakers. They’re a tool for performance, they boost agility and protect against harm, but they’re also a flashpoint for personality, a chance for athletic expression as one braves the trail, the course, the track, or the treadmill. It’s this unique combination of uses that make the sneaker so important—and who better to understand that potency and potential than Nike and Patta?
They’ll start off the conversation with Edson Sabajo, Patta cofounder and the captain of the Patta Running Team who will delve into the ways Patta has transformed from straight-up sneaker manufacturers into a community-driven project, cultural institution, and creative family. Sabajo is joined by Jermain Breidel, a hardcore runner and Patta Running Team coach, whose expertise on sport and the bonds it can forge is unmatched. To round out the chat is an appearance from Roxanne ‘Rocky’ Hehakaija, a SNKRS Live veteran and Amsterdam native who founded the Favela Street Foundation, which helps train young football coaches in communities across the Netherlands, Curacao, and Sudan.
Together the three of them will put their heads together to discuss the different ways in which they use sport to facilitate camaraderie. Each brings a unique perspective to the table that sheds light on the way people can come together over a common athletic interest, be it coaching, running, or playing.
The Patta Running Team in particular is a prime example of how a brand can, and did, mobilize its community to achieve a goal. Founded in 2010 by Sabajo, what began as a casual group of friends gathering to run has transformed into a multi-city operation with members training for everything from 10Ks to marathons to ultra marathons. Regardless of goal or distance, Patta Running Club maintains that it’s “primarily about coming together as a group, dragging each other over the finish line, seeing different places together, and most importantly, having fun.”
Football is the common language underlying the work of the Favela Street Foundation. Hekakaija, a seasoned player herself, founded the organization to empower youth in underserved communities through a series of workshops and training programs centered around street football. “By focusing on the development of young people, we ensure a sustainable positive change in the neighborhood,” she says. “Because we believe in the strength, talent and potential of these young people, we have created a program that supports them towards a positive(er) future.” The organization’s connection to Patta has spanned years. They’ve found common ground in a shared appreciation for authenticity and community building.
Sport, spirit, and sharing stories lie at the heart of all these ventures, as well as the renewed collaboration between Nike and Patta. Previous installments in the series have paid homage to the indelible link between sneakers, music, art, and identity. The new Air Max 1 “The Wave” and the surrounding series represents an extension of these shared values. As it’s revealed in a new maroon colorway with leather details, the journey is just beginning.

The Nike SB Ishod Is Feeling The Springtime Blues
subota , 19.02.2022.Spring is practically here, and whereas many brands are preparing a sea of colorful releases, Nike SB is toning things down — especially when it comes to Ishod Wair’s signature shoe.
Here, the Nike SB Ishod proffers its usual simplicity, as it refrains from including more than three tones. At the helm, a deep, saturated blue dresses the suede and mesh exterior, pushing the silhouette into Spring territory — not far, as the shade is nowhere near as bright as the brand’s usual pastels, but into it nonetheless. Adjacent, the cool, silver finish of the branding and midsole serve to complement the aforementioned, blending in well to create a cohesive colorway.

Nike Dunk High “Crimson Tint” Coming Soon For Women
utorak , 15.02.2022.As Nike Sportswear and Nike SB continue to plot the Nike Dunk High‘s release schedule for the remainder of 2021 and beyond, the silhouette has recently emerged in a two-tone “Crimson Tint/Sail” colorway exclusive for women.
Reminiscent of the “Orange Pearl” Dunk Low that dropped in mid-March, the forthcoming pair indulges in a smooth leather construction across its upper, with bases boasting an off-white ensemble. Overlays throughout Peter Moore’s 36-year-old design indulge in the shoe’s titular tone, which extends itself onto the laces, inner lining and “NIKE”-branded label on the tongue. Underfoot, the Air Jordan 1-like sole unit also partakes in the aforementioned color combination, with the outsole donning an ostensibly fluorescent shade of “Crimson Tint”.
Official Nike SNKRS release date information is still unknown, but this Nike Dunk is likely to arrive before summer ends. In the meantime, enjoy a first-look at the pair ahead.

Where To Buy The Nike Dunk High “Dark Sulfur”
Whether or not you’ve been able to get your hands on a pair of Nike Dunks yet, the Swoosh seems to show no sign of hesitation in crafting new pairs for all to push their luck for—although a handful of release dates have been met with delays. Finally, the women’s Nike Dunk High “Dark Sulfur” first teased last year, is ready for an official drop this month.
The two-tone arrangement has often been compared to the Dunk High “Varsity Maize” due to their sharing of yellow accents. However, the “Dark Sulfer” pair sticks to a simple white and yellow mix, while the past release incorporates black panels. The yellow used on this pair is also not as vibrant, leaning towards more of a mustard yellow shade. As with several other Dunk variations, the tongue label opts for a white background to match the tongue and colors the Nike logo on it in Dark Sulfur. Furthermore, Dark Sulfur appears on the stitching details found near the heel, which are often in white to match the uppers. The aforementioned yellow is reapplied to the outsole to complete the look.

Nike SB Dunk High “Noir/Vert/Blanche” DQ3757-300
utorak , 08.02.2022.La Nike SB Dunk High a gardé un profil relativement bas au cours des six derniers mois, avec son homologue la plus courte et la Nike SB Ishod dominant le devant de la scène. Alors que l’empreinte obsédée par le skate n’a partagé aucune information concernant ses plans pour le modèle haut de gamme, la silhouette a récemment fait surface dans un nouveau coloris noir, vert et blanc avec une marque « AIR ZOOM » mise à jour.
Que la dernière variante de Nike Dunk soit ou non en route vers les détaillants, cela démontre que le Swoosh réinvente constamment le design de 37 ans de Peter Moore. Des superpositions en daim poilu reposent sur une base rappelant le velours côtelé qui fonctionne en tandem pour créer une combinaison de couleurs verte et noire convaincante. Les swooshes de profil et les unités de semelle similaires à Air Jordan 1 contribuent à la proposition prête pour le skate, mais ils n’introduisent rien de nouveau dans la silhouette légendaire. Last year, Nike’s “Happy Pineapple” dressed multiple general releases, it’s smile bright even against colorways far brighter. And though the fruit may lack the same innocent expression, we should be excited to see its appearance atop this upcoming Nike SB Dunk High.
One of the pack’s most unique features is its use of pineapple leather. The same material is likely used here, proffering a sustainable quality that’s apparent in the upper’s slightly fibrous texture. In colorway, the pair appropriately leans on tropical elements, its panels alternating between three different but equally loud shades of yellow. A green tab, then, hits the heel as a further nod to the fruit itself, which sits atop the backside of the tongue with a goofy, possibly high look
