NIKE'S AIR FORCE 1 ARRIVES IN A FLAMIN' HOT CHEETOS ORANGE HUE

04.03.2022.

Nike is preparing to launch another iteration of the classic Air Force 1 as part of its “Athletic Club” collection.

The silhouette boasts a striking orange hue, which resembles the color of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. The overlays and lacing system are covered in orange, while the tongues, toe boxes and quarter panels come in a crisp white tone. Aqua blue can be found on the Swooshes and heels, which are sewn on with a special “Athletic Club” patch. The white midsoles and orange outsoles round off the sneakers.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Athletic Club” is expected to drop in the coming weeks via Nike’s website and select retailers.

KEIA KODAMA CREATES AIR FORCE 1 INSPIRED BY BLACK HAIR

Content creator Keia Kodama brings her unique vision to a custom Air Force 1 Mid inspired by the Black hair experience. Appropriately dubbed the “Hair Force 1,” Kodama brilliantly applies braided hair to the shoe’s upper, honoring the rich legacy of braid styles that continue to drive current beauty trends.

No detail is spared on the Hair Force 1, with a Swoosh constructed of bamboo earrings and baby hair-inspired swoopes at the eye stays. The clever content supports the shoe, with Kodama modeling the pair in a beauty shop and even showcasing the customs packaged like braiding hair.

“For Black women, our hair is one of the common threads that has always been such a pivotal part of our journey,” the creative shares with HYPEBAE. “Our hair experience is part of our whole life experience and what bonds us together, forever. This sneaker was created to pay homage to the Black hair and beauty industry, from the kitchen beauticians, the Bronner Bros. trophy holders or the ‘I can do it myself’ slay gawds!”

Kodama showed off the Hair Force 1 in a video montage celebrating Black hair in all its forms — as a means of self-expression, as a community builder and as a way to amplify African heritage.

Early Glimpse of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Night Maroon"

There’s a substantial amount of buzz circulating around Patta right now following the release of its Air Max 1 “Monarch” release with Nike (NYSE:NKE -0.98%) . Hype over the shoes grew exponentially as the launch date got closer, and even more so after they finally dropped globally. But for those who weren’t able to catch a W for retail, don’t fret as the Dutch imprint is readying even more colorways, one being this Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Night Maroon.”

For this impending installment, Patta sticks to its new wavy motif for the upper. The overlays that rest across the mid-foot and around the toe boxes, as well as the Swooshes, wavy mudguards, laces and tongues are dyed in a “Night Maroon” hue. Beneath all of those is a mesh gray layer, while a Texas-like orange drips over the interior lining and first set of lace loops. Patta branding is positioned on the tongues in the form of a white banner with black font. Lower halves are styled with an off-white midsole unit, and the treading is coated with a muted purple outer.

No release info has been announced just yet, but you can likely expect Nike and other shops to drop these sometime this Fall/Winter 2021.

On-Feet Photos of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Paisley”

18.02.2022.

To go along with the “Paisley” Dunk Lows, it looks like Nike SB has also produced their own Nike SB Dunk Low “Paisley” colorway that could be releasing in 2022.

Inspired by 70s tees, this Nike SB Dunk Low features the paisley print covering its entire upper dressed in a mix of Pink, Green, and Burgundy Brown hues. White Swooshes on the sides with matching tongue and heel branding atop a White midsole and Gum rubber outsole completes the design.

Official Images Of The Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy”

As the spookiest day of the year inches closer, official images of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” have emerged.

NIKE, Inc. previously embalmed a Player-Exclusive basketball shoe for Russell Westbrook, but it hadn’t brought the layered arrangement to any Nike SB proposition before. Yet, its execution is praise-worthy, given the pair’s off-white textured upper, nods to ancient Egypt and glow-in-the-dark detailing. Canvas construction throughout the sneaker’s top-half both screams “Halloween” while delivering functionality to those lucky enough to snag a pair and use the Nike Dunk-variant for what it’s for: skate. Branding on the tongue label indulges in a near-fluorescent green, which harkens to the glow-in-the-dark finish applied to the outsole underfoot and mummy eyes at the heel. Profile swooshes boast faint blue flair, with sock-liners depicting a scene oft-associated with rowdy Halloween-goers: “tp-ing” a tree.

No Nike SNKRS release date has been rumored thus far, but the festive pair is scheduled to hit select skate shops on October 25th. In any case, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.

Car Collector Magnus Walker Gets a Nike SB Dunk Collab

14.02.2022.

Just a few months removed from a set of Nike SB Dunk Lows inspired by vintage race cars, another automobile-themed SB Dunk is expected to arrive soon.

For this pair, the model switches to the Nike DB Sunk High and calls in well-known British car collector Magnus Walker for what is said to be an official collaboration. The sneaker uses an off-white based in a mix of materials and is accented with bright red and blue, colors which are seemingly inspired by Walker’s 1971 Porsche 911 T 277.

The vehicle has become something of a icon in the car community, and Walker has gone on record gushing over the car’s “broken-in” feel after years of owning it. Based on the teaser image of the sneakers, it looks like Nike SB has attempted to emulate the wear-and-tear and distressing of the vehicle’s paint through various material textures including a cracked leather at the toe.

As of now, an exact release date for the Magnus Walker x Nike SB Dunk High “Porsche 277” has not been announced, but it should be dropping sometime soon.

I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again: food and sneakers are a near perfect combo. And it’s clear that Color Skates shares the very same sentiment as they channel their cravings for kebabs with a detail-packed Nike SB Dunk High collaboration.

Revealed towards the latter half of may, the colorway — appropriately dubbed “Kebab and Destroy” — is due to release in the next few days. Alongside its meaty textures, mustard yellow toppings, and drizzle of Tzatziki, the pair is to come complete with a special box thematically fitting. Every one of these limited sets is delivered by way of a commemorative lunchbox, both its exterior and interior covered with custom graphics.
