Westerhouse - rear view
View from the back bedroom which has the largest fitted wardrobe of the two (main) bedrooms. It was a bit misty today, but you can just make out the view of Ramsgate harbour in the far distance. I think you could see the sea if it was clearer. Maybe not in the summer when the trees might obscure the view. Next door have kids as you can see from all the toys. The guy I spoke to said they were all very well-brought up and polite. To the left is the pumping station for the Royal St George's Golf Club (you can see the old Victorian building with yellow bricks on the right) The St george's club house is the white building you can just make out behind the large tree on the left. The large iron structures (H shaped) are the new(er) draining mechanisms. The white and green sign in the middle of the picture says something like "safety - emergency shower". Presumably incase anyone falls down the drain (!) Not the prettiest of sights but in the summer you wouldn't be able to see any of this really. No noise or smell (didn't even realise it was there until I saw this house)! The garden to the rear with the silver birch belongs to a large house/flats.
There was talk of these houses being subject to flooding when they were built in the late 80's, I think that's why they renewed the drainage - not sure when this was done.

We drove to Evinston and then Ocala for Zack's sister's wedding shower today. I forgot my camera! This worked out for me, because I spent more time socializing and enjoying myself.
Jessica is quite crafty, and her friends came up with a fitting shower theme. We each made our own scrapbook pages or quilting squares for Jessica to use in documenting her wedding memories. I'm not a scrapbooker, but I've made cards in the past, so I eventually got into the groove and made a couple pages for her.
We visited with the family at Jessica's house in Evinston before heading back home late in the evening. When we stopped to refuel, I snapped my weary traveling companion with my iPhone camera. I like this angle!
