Installing the dishwasher and sink IKEA recommends you put the sink on the countertop before you install the countertop. This is excellent advice, because their clips won't work from beneath. Admittedly, the sink and plumbing are heavy enough to hold a sink in place and with everything secured, it won't move, but I had a very grumpy afternoon trying to fit those damned clips. Also, N.B: if your dishwasher electrical line (or range hood, microwave, etc) is hardwired, put a plug on it. Being able to remove the dishwasher and unplug it for service is a lot easier than dealing with a hard wire install. I don't know why everything doesn't come with a plug and socket... 20081217 - Basement kitchen shink brain What a pain this was, the baskets I purchased at Home Depot were pieces of C***p and I ended up removing them and replacing.
