Educational Toys For 2 Year Olds
- Educational toys, are typically built for and used by children. One could make the argument that an educational toy is actually any toy. Most children are constantly interacting with and learning about the world.
- Year 2 (II) was a common year starting on Sunday (link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar.
- Olds was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada. The district was mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1909 to 1963. The district was combined with the Didsbury electoral district to form Olds-Didsbury.
- A data set on direct access storage that contains the log records written by DBCTL. When the current OLDS is full, IMS continues logging to a further available OLDS.
Year 2 ~ Day 17: Damn...No Mail!
I've done a shot like this before but it's way cooler with the fisheye. But here's the thing...our mailbox will not fix my camera in there, no matter which way I position my camera. So I took a quick stroll over to our neighbor's house and used their mailbox which is a MUCH larger mailbox than ours.
The problem is, we don't get along with this neighbor, so I had to be quick about it. I didn't want her walking outside and catching me looking into her mailbox. We had an issue a few years back where I caught our other neighbor going through the mail in our mailbox and I went nuts. Going through someone else's mail is considered a federal crime. I believe that's what I read. So anyways, I had to get it in one shot or risk getting caught by someone. And as a result of that, my focusing was a tad off. With this fisheye lens, it's all manual focus. So I just have to guesstimate. For the most part it came out pretty decent. :)

2 second exposure with a Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye lens. With the 1.5x crop factor of the Pentax *istDS, the fisheye effect isn't too pronounced. ISO 200. Aperture not recorded, but probably around f4.
Taken on the old Russian New Year's Eve (1/13/06). It's the Catholic Church near Metro Barrikadnaya. Performed minor color and brightness/contrast corrections.
I'm not sure I like the "smearing" of the moon caused by the clouds. Two different versions are in the same set.
And, in case you're wondering... Yeah, I almost lost a few fingers taking this shot. It wasn't much fun handling my tripod and camera.
