That is the first expensive bag I ever bought, and it's easily seven years old. I got it at a time when I was traveling a lot, and needed a good plane bag, and it certainly fits the bill. It holds everything! Also, the leather is already wrinkly, so it's been getting better with age. Sadly, I learned that the lining has torn in one of the inside pockets, and it needs repairing. Totally worth the expense.
The dress was a super steal from a Ross, where I went to buy a prop for a burlesque show, and the flats were on sale for $20.

Lighted power window switches
Installed these in my 245 Turbo.
They're lit whenever there's power to the power windows, so in my case, whenever the key is turned to position i or II. They can be found in any 1993-on 960 or S/V90, or in any 1994-on 940.
Installation is easy in any January 1984 or newer 240 with power windows (or any 1980-12/83 240 with the later power window switch panels). Pop out the old switches, and pop the 960 switches in. Highly recommended upgrade.
Power station window
You can see the brownish orange glow of the power station windows in several other photographs. I thought they deserved a closer look.

Christmas Chainsaw Massacre Crispy Treats
So, in a continued effort to make a massive amount of Christmas Cookies that I have no intention of eating, or any clue as to what I’m going to do/give them to, I’ve discovered something:
I cannot make Rice Crispy Treats.
The simplest thing on the planet. I begin by melting a bag of marshmallows on low heat. A sizzle and fizzle soon after reveals that I'm buring the poor morsels on the bottom of the pot. Knocking heat gage down to a setting equivalent to holding a match alight underneath a rock, I prepare my cereal, with the addition of white chocolate chips, crazins, and peanuts. (These were going to be fancy ones!) Three days later, I get a soup of white, runny, icky, fun goo.
In the cereal goes, paired with the lovely accessory ingredients. Stiring is hard. I accidentally toss cereal out the mixing bowl left and right. It's not folding in. Stir some more. And it's still not folding. The marshmallow begins to form into a ball and I can’t get the cereal to take. Folding, folding, folding. The bowl is now empty of cereal.
I resort to using my hands—which burns the tips of my fingers because the marshmallow is so freakin' hot. 3 minutes later, I have a cement-like basketball, curred solid from rice crispy dust and marshmallow glue. The chocolate chips, crazins and nuts rest in the bottom of the bowl, looking up as if to say “WTF was that all about?”
Angry, I have an ingenious idea: I’ll put the ball back in the melting pot.
Smoke ensues, as the cement ball begins to burn.
Angry, and REFUSING to be outdone by the simplest goddamn kids treat ever, I toss the cement ball (after scraping the soot off) back in the bowl, and microwave it. After a minute or so, the rock becomes pliable again. With numb fingers, I began to massage the ball into to a sticky blob. Regressing back to it's plyable state, the patient crazins, nuts, and chocolate chips begin to take hold.
Until the chocolate chips begin to melt.
Any stickiness of marshmallow was completely sedated by melted chocolate. The end result is a bowl of slowly cooling 'stuff,' completely amiss of any trace that there were 6 cups of rice crispie cereal at all. I call my mother to alert her to her deficient offspring. She convinces me to just lay them out in a pan anyway, saying "it’s all still good sugar and chocolate!" I do as she says.
The next day I have a sheet of chocolate wonder. “Drizzle more chocolate over it,” my Mom encourages me. I do as she commands. It works brilliantly. BUT, ha ha, not to Bill. Not enough. So I make some white frosting to double up a crosshatch of drizzle. Spiked with a ton of red coloring for a festive look.
Blood.
The sheet of delicate chocolate now looked like a crime scene. Drooling puddles of red liquid seep into cracks and crannies of white asphalt. My emergency Christmas Cookie repair kit included some crushed candy cane sprinkles: The ultimate, classic red and white hard candy. What better thing to cheer it up?
The blood bath cookie sheet now looks like it has shards of glass embedded on the surface.
It dries. I cut it up, throw it in Ziplocs, bury in the freezer.
Merry Damn Christmas.
An Exceptional Roman Glass Snake-thread Goblet
Glass (colorless and opaque), Alexandrian, Late 2nd century C.E., Allegedly from Alexandria
H. 14.56 cm.
Blown colourless glass decorated with applied opaque white tooled trails referred to as snake-thread.
Condition: the foot a modern repair; a crack around the lower body consolidated with transparent glue. Slight dulling to minor parts of the colourless glass owing to weathering.
The trails depict waders in a poetic representation of reeds and vegetable growth (along the banks of a river, symbolized by the movement of the liquid contained in the goblet).
Most [1] snake-thread glass has been found in the region of Cologne in the Rhineland. Though first produced there by migrant workers, with gradual improvements and refinements added as time went on, the type originated in Syria and Alexandria. The author knows of no examples from Cologne decorated with birds. For a comparison, there is a bottle with birds in Dusseldorf [2] ascribed to Syria and dated to the first half of the 3rd century A.D. However, it is to be noted that the dissimilarities probably indicate a different workshop: the greenish hue, the trails in opaque yellow and the execution of the trails and hatchings.
The present goblet seems among the earliest products of this type. Its alleged provenance and what appears to be the inspiration of the Nile and the natural life on its banks render both an attribution to Alexandria [3] and an early date plausible.

3 Several months after this entry was written, Prof. von Saldern kindly sent the author a xerox of a paper by Dan P. Barag ("Flower and Bird" and Snake-thread Glass vessels, Annales du 4e Congres International d'Etude Historique du Verre, Ravenne-Venise, 13-20 mai 1967, pp. 55-66) and the author was comforted to read (p. 57) that Barag agrees with Harden's fourth possibility that such "ware was first made in the East and was introduced almost at once to western workshops by migrant artisans" and that "snake-thread ware, both monochrome and polychrome, was made in Egypt, presumably Alexandria, during the second century A.D."

- A generally unscrupulous or illegal form of credit counseling that promises the impossible, such as erasing accurate records from your credit report.
- Actively working to make sure that an individual’s credit report is accurate and up-to-date. After filing for bankruptcy, this is especially important so that debtors can rebuild their credit and get a fresh start.
