'Meat Is Murder' je drugi album britanskog benda The Smiths čiji je frontmen Morrissey, a izdan je 1985. godine. Ubrzo je singl istog naziva bio na broju jedan britanskih glazbenih ljestvica te se zadržao punih 13 tjedana. U to doba veoma je popularan bio britanski Band Aid, a kad su Morrisseya zapitali o tome, odgovorio je: 'Netko može imati veliki interes za ljude u Etiopiji, ali puno je važnije utjecati na svakodnevnu torturu ljudi u Britaniji'. Album je imao snažnu političku poruku, ali i poruku protiv jedenja mesa, kao što i sam naziv albuma kaže te je Morrissey zabranio ostalim članovima benda da ih se fotografira dok jedu meso.
