Decorating A Little Girls Room

- Little Girls is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2008 from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The band emerged from Toronto's post-punk scene as a solo recording project of multi-instrumentalist Josh McIntyre.
- The Little Girls was a novelty band by the sisters Caron Maso (guitar, vocals) and Michele Maso (vocals) from San Fernando Valley in the early 1980s. They had two hits, "The Earthquake Song" and "How to Pick Up Girls".

Holiday time when you're a teacher -- making cookies, helping the kids decorate the cookies, trying to clean blue food coloring off your new sweater, decorating the room, rehearsing songs, making gifts for the kids, helping the kids make gifts for their parents,
making latkes, making menorahs, making dreidels, making cards, making handprints on gift bags, taking photographs of the kids to give the parents, hoping the photos come back in time to actually give to the parents, making rolled beeswax candles, helping the kids make gifts to send to their grandparents, realizing that you're running out of time to get everything done...
Today everything seemed to come together, and I came home from work exhausted, but a little more relaxed. A few more days of school, and then I'm off for two weeks with my own kids. No lesson plans, no schedules, no deadlines.
Now, if I can just get my own personal holiday stuff done ... cookies to be made, gifts to be wrapped, cards to be sent...

i'm at my parents house for the weekend. it makes me feel like a little girl. i sleep in my old room. except when it was my room, it was decorated black and white. i had black closet doors and black baseboards.... black polka dots on the walls and door.... now it has old country quilts from my grandmother and antiques.... hm....

his underwear is hanging on the lamp.
his raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair,
and the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp.
his workbook is wedged in the window,
his sweater's been thrown on the floor.
his scarf and one ski are beneath the tv,
and his pants have been carelessly hung on the door.
his books are all jammed in the closet,
his vest has been left in the hall.
a lizard named ed is asleep in his bed,
and his smelly old sock has been stuck to the wall.
whosever room this is should be ashamed!
