This greenhouse is behind my mother's apartment building in Franklin, PA. Her apartment is in a big Victorian house, converted into 9 apartments, that used to belong to a man named Miller. He was wealthy, and had extensive grounds that included a house for the cook and this greenhouse, to which the gardener's living quarters were attached. Miller also had a private zoo, and a pond which served as a watering hole for the animals. In the course of 100 years, the forest has grown up around the animal enclosures and pond, and the paved paths that trailed around the grounds. It makes for an interesting walk in the woods, to follow the cement path, cracked by roots and overgrown with moss and wild chives, and come across the stone foundations of long deserted houses.

This was the greenhouse in the plant area. Hopefully we can go back on a nicer, less humid day.
