- an expected time to live as calculated on the basis of statistical probabilities
- Life Expectancy is a novel by suspense/horror writer Dean R. Koontz. The plot centers on five pivotal moments in the life of a self-proclaimed "lummox" named James "Jimmy" Tock.
- Life expectancy is the expected (in the statistical sense) number of years of life remaining at a given age. It is denoted by ex, which means the average number of subsequent years of life for someone now aged x, according to a particular mortality experience.
- The average period that a person may expect to live
- A tire (in American English) or tyre (in British English) is a ring-shaped covering that fits around a wheel rim to protect it and enable better vehicle performance by providing a flexible cushion that absorbs shock while keeping the wheel in close contact with the ground.
Datsun 100A
This tired old dog definately looks like its close to being scrapped - a fact that I was well aware of when I photographed it in Abingdon in 1993. Recalling back to the time, quite a few of these Datsuns disappeared off the roads really quickly - even roaming the scrapyards around this time, I don't recall seeing many early to mid 70's Datsuns in there, the majority of them would have started rusting by their 4th birthday, with structural subframe, sill or inner wing rot setting in a few years after - judging by the records SpottedLaurel and I have built up the average life expectancy of these cars would be around 8 years. This particular model will always have a place in my mind, my mother bought one in 1976 and it was very much part of a happy childhood. I've had several of these models since 1998, and currently own a blue 1975 estate model - of which will hopefully remain in my possession for years to come.
