Studded Tires
- A tire (in American English) or tyre (in British English) is a ring-shaped covering that fits around a wheel rim to protect it and enable better vehicle performance by providing a flexible cushion that absorbs shock while keeping the wheel in close contact with the ground.

This is what my Nokia Rollspeed Winter tyre looks like after about 5 months... not too impressive now is it? This was the front tyre, the rear is not as bad but plenty of studs missing from that one too. The weather was not right for a tyre that has two rows of studs right in the middle, most of the winter there was no snow nor ice, but i'm sure i would've killed myself had i not had some studded tyres on the bike.
I will be trying the Nokia A10 next season, 32mm like the Rollspeed Winter.
DIY Studded tyres
Made by screwing M3 bolts into a set of old tyres. 84 bolts in total in the front, slightly less in the back. Not something you can do in a hurry.
