You have to hand to these young men and women. They ran this obstacle course which went all over the grounds of RMC. Friends, family, alumni, members of the Canadian Forces and public servants such as myself all ran (or walked quickly) with their favorite teams to cheer them on each leg of the course....kind of like folks following the masters only you didn't have to be quiet when they were going to take a swing (or in this case run with a sand bag soaked in water).
Faces full of mud, bodies soaked with mud and water, it was a fun day had by all.
At one point one poor young cadet being aided along by troop mates threw up beside me...the mother in me wanted so bad to grab him away from his team mates and say come on kiddo sit it out now...but of course I had to bite my tongue and take the shots...I hope you are feeling much better this evening...all of you are no doubt tired and sore ... but just think, next year you can cheer on the first year students thanking your stars that this is all behind you. :)
