Yokohama Park on which Yokohama Stadium is situated, is the birthplace of baseball in Japan, and is where the first international baseball game was held. The match was Ichi-ko (a higher school under the old system of education) vs. YCAC (a team of non-Japanese Yokohama residents), in Japan on 1896.
?Yokohama Stadium is the first multipurpose circular stadium with a movable seating system. The up-and-down pitching mound allows usage not only for baseball but also for various kinds of event such as American football, other sport events, and concerts(esp in 80s,ex Southern All Stars-Japanese rock band mogul,Madonna,David Bowie),The Y-shaped illuminating lamps show full originality as one of symbols of Yokohama.

Built in 1930, Nippon Maru is a retired sailing ship that is permanently docked at Minato Mirai and is open to the public. Across from the ship is the Yokohama Port Museum, a recently remodeled museum that has a History Zone illustrating the port's entire history and a Rediscovery Zone which illustrates broader marine topics.
