She had an extra TV. That's how I ended up going to the apartment of a girl I've met only twice, walking through her charming one bedroom, carefully avoiding her cat, carrying a giant TV to my car, noticing the well painted walls, the extra-large office space, all the while taking care not to be too funny, or too nice, or too standoffish, or too much of anything, because we really don't know each other, and somewhere in the back of her mind I was sure she was worried I might be a serial killer.

Sure, her brother vouched for me, but you just don't ever really know. And she's a professional comedian, writes for a Comedy Central show & everything, so my usual method of making people at ease is lost to me, as I'm struck dumb by professional funny people. I become self-conscious, "maybe they think i want a job, or am trying to impress them w/my funny, or my funny is nowhere near their level of funny".

I'm funny, but professional funny? That's a whole different ballgame.

And, of course, the whole time, I'm trying to figure out what kind of photo I want to take at the end, having attempted a shot of Ali a few weeks ago, to less than spectacular results.

So the whole time we're being nice to each other, and it's awkward, and tentative, and I hate that damn cat, but we get the TV into my car, I get my photo, and nobody gets kidnapped and dropped in a well, forced to 'put the lotion in the basket'.

TechniSat makes pretty easy-to-assemble and good-quality dish in my opinion. But they do however need to simplify their Installation Manual. I would be more than happy to help them with that. The English in there is - woah - tricky. You got to think like Arnie to understand.

The dish itself is mere 45cm wide. The 4 LNBs sits covered in the grey compartment and they've been aligned in such a way that I only need to accurately align the first LNB to Astra 1 and the other 3 will automatically (with some tweaking of elevation and azimuth) align itself to Astra 2, Astra 3 and Hotbird. So instead of 37 channels, I now have over 3000 channels on the board. But of course you dun get to watch all. Lots of free to air, and just as many paid subscription ones. It goes all the way out to Ireland and Switzerland with regular TV. All for free.
