Army Wrist Watch
- For thousands of years, devices have been used to measure and keep track of time. The current sexagesimal system of time measurement dates to approximately 2000 BC, in Sumer. The Ancient Egyptians divided the day into two 12-hour periods, and used large obelisks to track the movement of the Sun.

This photograph in postcard format, as many were at that time, seems to show an Officer of the Salvation Army, judging by his collar badges, with a woman guitar player, also in SA uniform. The other woman is in a plain dark dress with a huge wrist watch. The picture was with other prints on photographic paper, showing army and civilian scenes from around 1912, in and around the British Army barracks at Abbassia, Cairo. The lower lettering on the dark jerseys could read 'The Salvation Army'.
My old watch
This is my very old watch which I used since I am 14 years old. It is 14 years old now. You can see the dirt from my army service still, scratches from daily use.
But I haven't put that watch on for more than 4 years. The last time I used it when I went to South Korea. Since I have a cell phone, I stopped using a wrist watch at all. Plus time lost a lot of meaning to me. So I don't care what time it is often - and thats a good thing.
