Attorney General Martha Coakley will tour the facility of Roca Inc. In addition to touring the facility, AG Coakley will meet with executive Director Molly Baldwin and hear from youth participants about their experiences and success with the Roca model. Roca is a performance-based and outcomes-driven organization that helps young people ages 14-24 to change their behavior and shift the trajectories of their lives through a High-Risk Youth Intervention Model. Roca serves very high-risk young people in Chelsea, Revere and East Boston. Roca’s mission is to help disengaged and disenfranchised young people move out of violence and poverty. The Attorney General’s Office awarded Roca $25,000 through Project YES (Youth Employment Success) grant funds for fiscal years 2010 and 2011 to create jobs for low-income teens that promote physical activity.
