i will be away from Friday up to Sunday and cannot upload a flower for all of you on those days. Thus, I will upload three roses which I am sure the Ladies will love and a shot of a special weed for the Gentlemen. I am sorry guys, i don't know what you will like but the weed is a nice example of shallow depth of field.

There is a story to the red. peach and orange roses. I made those shots Monday of last week after the great floods. I checked on my Double A batteries and they all seemed flat. I ignored my camera because I knew I charged 4 of the batteries and the other 4 had a few more dozen shots available. I hurried to my favorite haunting grounds. The first shot I made was of another Lotus. I saw another flower and made a shot, nothing happened. The batteries were dead. I replaced the four and changed what I remembered were fresh batteries and voila, they were also flat. Then, I told myself, your are a dum dum... the charged batteries have been idle since before the storms and you should have recharged them when the camera displayed no pilot light.

I asked around where I can buy batteries and they all said, nowhere for your camera but there are eateries in a jeep and bus
terminal where they sell double cheap AA batteries. I found the very small stall and I was asked for what the batteries will be used
for. When I said for my camera,' the vendor said, do you like the set of 4 good for four shots or this set good for 10 shots. Wow, I told myself, my goose is dead. But I had to make some shots. I bought the more expensive P 20 for the four..gosh that is dirt cheap. I loaded the batteries, and ignored my inclination to bang my head
onto a wall for being dum dum. As soon as I made the shots of the three roses, one after the other, I saw this very small red dragonfly and I set my camera. It flew away and I followed. We must have gone over that routine 4 times before I was able to get a shot. That shot is my most beautiful dragon fly shot because this one is
a baby and had the longest whiskers, hairs, horns protrustions on its head and back. it was a stunner.

When I got home and I told my wife what happened to me. Sushi, my master, she who is now a star and who appeared on Explore beating my flowers at No. 268 and earning 138 comments and I with only 12 mention of my name as the photographer looked at me as if tellineg me. Gosh, you are a dum dum and I was right, you did not take good photos of me. I have to learn photography for I am now sure I will not make the same mistake you did. That dog knows a lot about cameras and photography from the many long hours of listenting to me and the Nikon family. There are lessons to be learned from my mistakes.

Lesson no. 1 - dont ignore whart your camera told you simply because you remembered you charged batteries. 2 - When you carry spare batteries, make sure those are charged. 3. Let your dog go with you on a photoshoot so they can observe the difficulties of making a photo so they will not think you purposely did not take a good photos of them. 4. When things seem to go against you, look more intensely, there are more beauties around you, just keep your eyes open.


Voy a estar fuera desde el viernes hasta el domingo y no puede subir una flor para todos ustedes en esos dias.

4 cargos de las baterias y los otros 4 tenian una docena de disparos mas disponibles. Me apresure a mis favoritos
motivos inquietante. El primer disparo que hice fue de otro de Lotus. Vi tambien a otro de flores e hizo un disparo, nada
sucedido. Las baterias estaban muertos. I reemplazaron a los cuatro y cambiar lo que yo recordaba las pilas estaban frescos
y voila, tambien eran planas. Entonces, me dije, tu son un dum dum ... las baterias cargadas han estado inactivos
desde antes de las tormentas y usted debe tener recargadas cuando la camara muestra ningun piloto.

Le pregunte a alrededor de donde puedo comprar las pilas y todos dijeron, en ninguna parte de su camara, pero hay lugares para comer en un jeep y autobus
terminal donde se venden pilas AA doble barato. Me encontre el puesto muy pequeno y me pregunto por lo que las baterias se utilizaran
para. Cuando le dije que para mi camara ", dijo el vendedor, ?te gusta el juego de 4 bueno para cuatro tiros o este buen conjunto de
10 disparos. Vaya, me dije, mi ganso muerto. Pero tuve que hacer algunas tomas. He comprado el mas caro
P 20 para los cuatro .. caramba que es muy barata. Cargue las pilas, e ignoro mi inclinacion a golpe

just popped in to say Hi! :) Thanks to all the sweet people inside and outside flickr who have been enquiring where i vanished. and some even reminded me that monday has passed and i havent put my maternity monday photo.. Damn! :)) i didnt know i had gotten myself into such a big commitment.. :)
well, the truth is, i am not able to sit infront of the computer for a long time, and i dont really like posting and running. makes me guilty. and who needs an extra dose of guilt?
