Cracked LCD screen on Canon EOS 30D
Cracked my LCD screen cover the other day; dropped it 3" onto marble kitchen countertop :(
Thankfully, it's only the cover that's broken. Canon will repair it for about $50, or I could buy the parts and fix it myself for half the price.
I'll probably make a short DIY demonstration of when I repair it.
Taken via iSight on my MBP for obvious reasons.
**update 04/20/2010**
Just bought the LCD cover and double sided tape for the repair yesterday. Cost me $25 from the retailer, and all parts are authentic Canon parts. Will post pictures and DIY repair process. I'll probably use the 40D to shoot the repairs.

Still shooting with a broken screen. Everything arrived, but I still haven't found the time to install it or shoot a tutorial. Will update soon, since school is almost over.

My SD500's LCD got broked. luckily for 60 bucks, some steady hands, and about an hour of my time I was able to repair my beloved canon.
