Involving a high degree of activity and exertion; stressful
Involving or using much physical force
High pressure science and engineering is studying the effects of high pressure on materials and the design and construction of devices, such as a diamond anvil cell, which can create high pressure.

A high-pressure area is a region where the atmospheric pressure at the surface of the planet is greater than its surrounding environment. Winds within high-pressure areas flow outward due to the higher density air near their center and friction with land.
This is most commonly refers to dive masks in relation to the amount of air volume they displace when used.

Grand Cascade and Samson Fountain
Outside the walls of the Peterhof, water is the prominent feature, from the Gulf of Finland 100 yards away to canals and fountains dotting the garden landscape. No two fountains appear to be alike.
The Grand Cascade and Samson Fountain are the showpiece, featuring 64 different fountains and over 200 bronze statues. The Samson Fountain in the center of the pool (at right in this photo) is meant to represent Russia's victory over Sweden in the Great Northern War. The lion is part of the Swedish coat of arms, and one of the great victories of the war was won on St. Samson's Day. Out of the lion's mouth shoots a 65' high jet of water.
Amazingly, all of the fountains at Peterhof operate without pumps. Water is provided by natural springs and collected in reservoirs in the Upper Gardens. The difference in elevation creates the pressure that drives most of the fountains of the Lower Gardens, including the Grand Cascade. The Samson Fountain is fed by a special aqueduct about 2.5 miles long, drawing water and pressure from a source even higher in elevation than the spring-fed reservoirs.
The whole thing begins at 11AM each day during season. One by one the fountains begin to spout to the stirring strains of what I believe was the Russian national anthem. By the time all the fountains are at full force, the music is at full volume. I think you're supposed to feel a bit of nationalistic pride as a result of it all!
Volume: Boss FV-50
The volume pedal has a logarithimic pot for a smoother volume transition. It's used as a volume control 'de facto'. It's placed after everything, except the delay, so when I lower the volume, the echoes don't cut out. It also has a tuner output, so I can silently tune the guitar.
